Very pragmatic approach to the bass gig bag! Loved the thoughts on the neck cradle and the zippers. ESPECIALLY THE ZIPPERS. Thanks. Too bad no more likes on here. I have a nearly 20-year-old Fender dual bass bag I need to replace so will watch video #2 now.

I'm using the Mono M80 bass sleeve for standard scale EBass. I live in the City using public transportation as I don't have a car. Some good things are that it is light and very comfortable when walking with the backpack straps which are used almost exclusively. It is also thin and can fit in tight spaces. Although it is water repellent for light rain or drizzle, water will get in- especially from the bottom if it sits upright and there is some water on the ground. I do need a handle on the front of the bag about midway to ease egress from trunks, buses, taxis etc., but this bag does not provide it. The handle on the side does not really help me as I find I always have to lift it straight upward to move about. I removed it and had it sown to the front large pocket. I also put large rubber feet on the bottom so that it will not be sitting directly on the ground when I put it down. Still, it's the best bag I've had. 150 bux.

Having Mustang P/J can you recommend a bag that fits?

I find my PJ mustang fits too tightly in an electric guitar bag, I use only full scale bass guitar bags. If you are willing to part with the money, the mono m80 and the music area bags should last nearly forever. They’ve held up really well for me. I’ve since also found that the ‘deluxe’ bass bag from solo music gear is also pretty good at around $90. Buy once, cry once. Cheaper bags may tear more easily or have cheaper zippers , then you’re spending more in the long term! Thanks for watching and asking! (See part 2 of the video!)
