Catching pike between bass is fun, especially when every once in a while you get one around 40”. Over 30” they fight pretty good. Sure you loose a few baits here and there.

Tyler, I know that you've discussed that you have a pretty aggressive hook set, but perhaps you can make a video discussing hook setting. Last year, I fished Silsby Lake in Manitoba for pike. As I was fishing, I'd hook a pike, and as I retrieved the fish, the guide would tell me repeatedly to "set the hook again". What is your opinion of setting the hook more than once, and hook setting in general?

Interesting. I normally throw a lipless on a medium heavy rod that's on the light side of medium heavy. I like the extra bsckbone to keep them from getting back into the grass and burying me.

We don't have pike here but we have chain pickerel which is very close to a pike. I caught on a big devil horse one time that had it sideways in its throat. It was almost 4 ft long. Don't know how he didn't cut my line but I was sure glad it didn't. I hate those fish!
