I see Matt Stephan is really haveing an influence haha I built a 907 a month or so ago and I just finished a 906 but have only caught one on it, ive caught a bunch of fish on the 907 though and its an awesome rod for a chatterbait, haveing said that the 907 seems to also be a very versatile rod, obviously it is designed for mid or deep cranks and I might be crazy but ive throw a spinnerbait with it a few times and its been awesome for that too, I think it'll work well with almost any moveing bait. I think the 906 is going to be great for baits like the mini max which im a big fan of since I started throwing it a couple months ago, im actually putting guides on an mb874 as I type this thats going to be my new frog rod. This rod building thing is addictive but im gonna need alot more reels!😆

Ty B, i’m from Baltimore and I’ve been watching you I listen I learn, best thing about it you don’t try to sell new products you got the product sell them self and you just explain how different equipment works and what works best for you in every day situation‘s around the world my biggest thing I thought that you had to switch your channels she were going to start your own channel either way I’m a fan of the freedom collaboration with chatter bait that swinging head it runs through and true I hope no one doesn’t scam on 100,000 subscribers do you know I don’t win I usually buy all my stuff and it’s fun with me and my buddy goes out to switch things here and there but when you subscribe to all these channels and you watch and you watch and you watch you comment and you notice some guy comes in and just subscribes may be about almost may be a day before you come through, and Bam this guy is a winner and I hope that your people pick just randomly because even though someone comments and watches every day doesn’t make them a winner just makes them a supporter and I support your brother I’d rather have the truth than going into a store and not knowing what to buy because I don’t know how to fish but I appreciate everything because even someone that knows a lot don’t know it all and someone that knows everything still gets skunked cycle football game any given Sunday it’s like any given day on the water

Strike king bladed minnow is a great for a trailer, it’s like the zako but a more erratic action, it’s kind of like you’re jerking the bait when you’re reeling but it swims really well at the same time, I recommend it.
@lstaples007

I have played with rods fishing the bladed jigs as well, I was definitely losing more hooked fish on my standard 7' MH fast SLX rod... I need most of my rods to be crossover rods so I settled on a different 7'1"MH fast Scheels rod the action is much slower I have been pleased with my hook up ratio and can fish other baits on it like the swim jig, even crankbaits... when I make the jump to a dedicated chatter set up the B Hite rod will definitely be on my radar. Nice break down brother... 🐟💪✌

This type of video are what make you one of my favourite fishing content creators, Tyler, but I watch all the other vids too! My favourite trailer so far for the MiniMax has been a 3" or 4" curly tailed grub. It gets smashed by largies, smallies, pike, and walleye, especially in my local river.

My favorite chatterbait has an underspin. The black/blue is what I've had my best experience. Lots of the things I've heard is for it to be attached straight to head of jig. This isn't, but have caught some toads on it. Great show 👏.

I bought a KVD setup for my chatterbaits, the 7"10 composite medium moderate action rod/reel combo it is buttery smooth and so seneitive i love it, i thought the rod was too big until i fished it. The combo is my favorite setup and it was half the price of the competition and just as good, my reels that cost the same price as this entire setup are not better in any way, only thing i wish wss different is i got a low speed reel, wish i got it faster, i like the fastest reel they have available, it's much easier to fish a fast reek slow then a slow reek fast.

I've been using my same rig as I use for spinnerbaits and so far working fine. 7' medium heavy/fast graphite with 12-15-lb hybrid line, medium speed reel. The hybrid line stretches a bit more than pure flouro but not as much as mono, so that kind gives it a little more flex like a more parabolic/moderate action rod would give. I'm comfortable wit the feel of it on the hook set, and it has also held them well when they've tried to throw it. But I like the idea of trying the moderate action too. Maybe as a dedicated chatter bait rig.

Have you tried the Big Bite Baits kamikaze swim-on? It’s an amazing Chatterbait trailer. I like it way better than the Zako. It’s more durable and I seem to get more bites with it than the Zako. I fish the Kamikaze 95% of the time. They make a 4.25 that fits the Jackhammer and a 3.75 that’s perfect for the mini max. It has this split tail that has a awesome action behind the Chatterbait. It also makes my Jackhammer hunt more which I like. Your tip about using a flat trailer to fish a bladed jig around wood was a game changer for me. I don’t lose near as many now. I fish mostly around grass but when I fish around wood I use a pit boss or a sweet beaver as a trailer and get hung up way less.

I'm not Tyler, I'm just another dude who likes to fish and watch this channel... I've fished braid for a long time, and tried many brands. For my money, I go with Power Pro... It seems to outlast the others without breaking the bank. The regular power pro is very good, Power Pro Slick V2 is a little better (and a little more expensive)... If you're spooling for top water, or something where you want 50 pound braid or heavier, go with Power Pro Maxcuatro (it's 25% thinner than the same strength standard power pro). Hope that helps. Tight lines!
@BassFishingHQ
@BassFishingHQ 2 жыл бұрын
I am also a fan of the original power pro. It is a 4 carrier braid which is great for strength. Sometimes the high carrier braids like berkley x9 can be good as well. The bigger difference is the higher carrier braids are a little smooth, but they also cut into themselves at times

What helps as you feel the suction obvious reel line down til rod tip is parallel to water once the drop the tip an wait for negative pressure an suction stops. The second that suction stops that you feel you say phrase I'm gonna set the hook then give the fish the business. I learned that from flukemaster. You can even use this yes on a spinning rod. Yes the pros are pros for a reason. The pros have sponsors so when they tell you you can't use a spinning rod an reel combos is obviously to get their cut from a sponsor from a fishing rod an reel company. Just an FYI

I have been throwing a bladed jig on a moderate fast action rod for three years , since I switched I seriously can't remember losing a fish because of the rod , did lose an entire fish and stealth blade when my line broke , as far as trailers I don't think it matters in most cases, I don't use paddle tail trailers because I think it affects the action, I like the kamikaze swimon, ZMan razor shadz , the Zako and prefer the hog farmer spunk shad in cold water , personally I quit buying trailers, just using whatever beat up plastic I have left over, some great underrated trailers, baby brush hog , baby d-stroyer , any paddle tail swimbait with the tail cut off and a half of a trick worm , I have not noticed a decline in bites when I'm using any of these

The JACKHAMMER really shines in hydrilla. No 2 WHEN fishing a chatterbait, set the hook when you feel the weight of the fish, just like a topwater (As in a Zara Spook, or a Strike King sexy dog)..I 'M NOT ABOUT TALK, I'M ABOUT ACTION.

Why can’t I just use my medium heavy Abu Garcia reel rod Revo X for everything as I actually already do? @BassFishingHQ
@BassFishingHQ 2 жыл бұрын
Main reason is pumping up the line doest really effect the action of a chatterbait at all, and I do fish a chatterbait around a lot of heavy grass, wood and dock situations. Hooking a big fish in thicker cover, I really like to have the extra strength...But if 12 lb works for you...then stick with it!

Sorry a typo. What I'm trying to say is when you start to feel suction from fish reel line an lower rod tip til rod tip is parallel to water once rod tip is parallel to water drop rod tip an say I'm gonna set the hook. You say the phrase an set the hook once negative pressure aka suction stops. Pros are pros for a reason, they'll tell you not to fish with whatever because they get a cut from sponsors from bait an rod an reel companies that sponsor them. Everyone I know has used spinning rod an reel combos for many years on frogs an lots of other lures these pros tell you not to use spinning rods and reels as I said before so you buy combos of baitcaster these pros promote so they get paid. It's a no brainer. Sorry for rambling guys sadly I never did well with writing in school so...😆🤦🤦🤷‍♂️
