I discovered the musical greatness of Bassnectar a couple months ago while I was tripping on acid. I was just starting to trip and my anxiety was getting to me, so my friend tells me to play this album. I'll never forget the feeling of euphoria rushing through my body when this song started playing. I felt like I had just climbed to the top of a mountain, like I had accomplished all my goals. This song (and album) is truly a masterpiece.

@RavingRavist8 жыл бұрын
+Kakashi Hatake because the majority of western electronic music consists of annoying repetative noises with no meledy whatsoever making you want to repeatedtly bash your face of a brick wall till its over. all the kids care about is bass, they have for the most part no class or style. im amazed as well. thank god there is atleast some hope with people like us that actually know what good music is.

Bassnectar for once has made something decent. This is not in a disrespectful way, it's just the fact that, just because someone makes it out doesn't mean the world and everyone either likes their music or even knows who they are. No one person is the same as another not even twins.

I always feel like I’m riding into a great battle on horseback in slow motion when I hear this. Drops of sweat falling at each thud as my horse gallops over rough terrain. One hand on the reins and sword swaying slightly. upright in my other hand. An arrow rotating right next to my face as it narrowly passes by. Music is a wonderful thing.

One of my favorite things to do with music like this is play 2 instances of it on top of each other, desynced with each other by 1-2 seconds. Makes for a really interesting harmonic effect. If you do it right, the drumbeats can even sound like heartbeats.

This song is amazing. It goes right up to the edge of blown-out & fatiguing, but never crosses that threshold. To me, that is the ultimate goal when it comes to electronic music production. Everything in this track - arrangement, mixing, mastering - is just fantastic. Does anyone know where I can find the production credits for this song? I'd REALLY like to find out who engineered/mastered this track. Does Bassnectar do it all himself??
