I always thought that Caleb should have done a Meat Loaf song on American Idol. I especially was hoping he and Jena Irene would sing Paradise by the Dashboard Light, but it never happened. Caleb was my favorite that season of AI. Anyway, nice to see him singing Meat Loaf songs, although he doesn't have the same emotion as Meat Loaf.

It's my understanding, from reading a review site, that Meatlof was supposed to do introductions and some story telling during the shows. Apparently because of injuries and advancing age, his vocals aren't what they used to be. However, he wasn't able to join the tour when it started for health reasons, which he said was only temporary.

And let me tell you, Caleb can belt them out. Sounds enough like Meat to make it a very fun show. Still, would have been more fun if the big man was there, also.
