1000 % agree .. The songs he and Steinman created were not 2 or 3 minutes like we see today.. They were over 10 minutes and some hit 14 minutes and had many verses…

Well, he was a Broadway star hired to sing an album that Jim Steinman had just written. So, yeah, he was unknown in the mainstream, but he was well known in theatre. He'd been appearing on Broadway for probably 8 years before bat out of hell came out .

Patti looks amazing. What a grand performance. Meat Loaf has been my favorite artist since I was 9 years old, 26 years ago. That was when I first heard "I'd Do Anything For Love". Everyone else was listening to BSB and I was blasting "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights". He had some hard times and so many health issues but despite it all he really left his mark. I'm so happy I saw him in concert in 2016. His voice wasn't as strong any more but he was still iconic and he put on one helluva show. Rest easy Meat. ❤🦇

This is the best performance and sound of this song that I have ever heard or seen!! Modern Rock concert goers don't know what they are missing!!! Thank Heaven for KZbin et al for letting those of us who were not there to have a taste of the experience!!

@@silverbecom6702 Robbie Benson's wife is Karla de Vito, who toured with Meat Loaf in 1977 in Bat Out of Hell, and lip synched Ellen Folley's vocals in the video.
