It's inspiring ro know that a Vietnam veteran who's seen terrible destruction in combat can come back to the States and care so passionately about a cause that is SO important - saving bats. What a legacy for Major Lollar! Well done too by everyone at Bat World Sanctuary and the kind, generous people who built the bat house, donated the crane to put it up and to do the actual work of putting it in place.

Love this but do stablize the legs with braces of boards.. and make heavy the very foundation.. so it don't topple.

The posts are actually metal, not wood. They are in concrete that goes 5' deep as well. :)

Question: are any employees of Bat World Sanctuary into Pokemon? There are three evolutionary lines based on bats: Zubat/Golbat/Crobat, which are based on vampire bats, and two based on fruit-eating bats: Woobat/Swoobat and Noibat/Noivern. Any BWS employees into Pokemon might have one of these as their favorite Pokemon.
