Youve struck gold here. I dont watch necessarily for the hobby itself (although I do find it interesting). But for the calm and well explained video. Its pleasant to have it in the background as I work. Essentially its unintentional ASMR. Keep doing this and youll garner the attention of the hobbiest and people like myself. Your sub count should multiply. well done :)

Can confirm - OG Necromunda was played by every single cool person I knew when I was younger. Fantastic game. I still think fondly of my indomitable Orlocks, kitbashed together from the guys in the box, a few blister packs and that weird faction-agnostic 'these are random weapons' sprues you could get for £1 each, and some imperial guard Catachan models I picked up at some point. They're long gone in real life, but fighting on in my memory.

These models would look really great as part of a diorama, I can imagine the scene is the street, a couple of buildings, raised pathway brightly lit with an overhead street lamp and with an assassin hiding in the shadows of a dark alleyway between the two buildings observing two seemingly ordinary business people talking on the street.

I love that green for the cloaks, it's sobright and vibrant, but still has some depth to it. I discovered a similar color with citadel's regal blue, it's super deep and kinda dark, but layering lighter and lighter blue makes everything pop. I got that idea from watching your grot batch painting, when you did all the ink layers on top of the yellow. Except here I used a purple wash and everything gets this sorta spectral look. A tip for yellows: first apply another colour, this colour determines the 'warmth' or mood of the yellow. White for 'cold', pale grey for 'dirty' Flesh tones or beige for 'warm', red/orange for 'Firey', pale green for 'sickly'. Hope this helps you all get a nice smooth yellow with the right tone. Also - decal printing for the bases.. Oh the joys of modern tech. When I painted necromunda gangers in the 90's that just wasnt an option. Initially I painted the letters on (yes it was hard). Eventually I found a pen that worked ok for name plates. I stil have all my original models - many of them have joined the ranks of the guard now with a touch up paint job or a full repaint.

So one of your models is named "Hot Carl." Just urban dictionary it folks if ya don't know what it means.

@GoobertownHobbies 5 жыл бұрын
Nonono don't do that! We can't be responsible for people heading over to urban dictionary! You've either heard it before or you haven't :-) Besides, my model is named Hot Carl because of his flamer, not because of how he spends his free time :-)

Goobertown Hobbies Please do, they‘re very inspiring! I‘ve found you by stumbling upon your „100 Night Goblin batch paint“ video. It’s great and came at the perfect time for me because I had just finished 40 ones in 4x10 batches but have another 80 to go, which I now consider also doing in one giant one. But first I have to go to the hardware store and make me some of those fantastic handles, so far I am working with one measly GW one, like an amateur! The cats in the videos are simply cherries on top, and it also means your videos might be eligible evening entertainment together with my cat-loving-but-not-hobbying girlfriend, I‘ll keep you posted.

@@iJasko Ooooh, excellent! Have fun crafting some handles and painting a ton of goblins :-) Yeah these cats show up in a bunch of shots whether I want them there or not- might as well leave them in the video! If you watch closely the orange cat does knock over my jar of paintbrushes in this video, and anytime the camera shakes that's him rubbing against the tripod legs. Win some/ lose some :-)

@@mikepeters8132 Hahaha good question! I'm thinking something atmospheric and creepy, no actual words understandable to us. In 40K lore there is something called an astropathic choir, I'm not sure if they make any sound at all...

I’ve had a lot of success using metallic paints as more of a dry brushing step than a painting step. Undercoating in a deeper brown (I use Rhinox Hide from Citadel) and then any metallic paint you want will go on in one or two coats with a brush with very little paint without adding any texture. I’m using citadel paints (this is how I always work with Lead Belcher), but I’d assume it’d work with other lines.
