For more information on the Ethiopian patriot Ras Mesfin Seleshi, one may read the two volume book authored by his son Lij Daniel Mesfin. The image I had about Ras mesfin was just a greedy landlord who amassed millions of gasha land at the expense of the poor peasants of Southern Ethiopia, until I read the two books and understood how great patriot he was and how much he sacrificed

It is beyond me to justify that ባንዳ were appointed high positions because of skills they acquired while serving Italians ? Really? Did they receive a bachelor or masters degree from their masters? They were traitors and deserved punishment not appointment.
