I'm guessing that Home Goods was so well stocked because some of the items were meant for last Halloween, but didn't arrive in time, due to supply chain issues. So there's a glut this year.

The raven candle holder is sooooo beautiful. I was a little disappointed to see that it was very plasticky, especially for it being $80, but the look of it overall was so pretty 🥰

Although appreciate BBW having a spooky line and they release it in July, I do think BBW is taking advantage of the spooky community. They are producing cute items, but prices are outrageous, especially considering the quality.

First of all.. 😈😈😈😈😈😈 IDK how like a million of us will share Eddie, but we’ll have to make it work. Second, your Homegoods was insane! Third, I need a Corny Collins now. 😂 I have not been able to see a live performance of Hairspray, but I love both films. There are very few films where I enjoy a remake, but I really enjoyed both versions in different ways. I may even like the remake better, just for the music. For that large black pumpkin with the bugs on it, I would take a little metallic paint (either silver, pewter, bronze, whatever goes with your decor) and VERY lightly dry-brush the bugs with it. Just the 'high points' on the bugs, don't paint in all the nooks and crannies. It will really bring out the texture and make the bugs so much more noticeable. I have other solid black things with a lot of textural detail and carving, and just a teensy bit of metallic highlights gives them so much richness.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wasn't as impressed with Bath and Body Works this year! Granted I did pick up a few items (Hello 20% off coupon). But I wasn't as excited as previous years I stopped at a Homegoods in Cedar Rapids Iowa and was completely overwhelmed as well! With the lanterns you could always change the color by painting the insides, or midge podge down some tissue paper or fabric

My mom as well has finished radiation and got an all clear remission, so I'm very happy. They caught her breast cancer at stage 1. Wicked Vanilla is new, as you can see on the tag it says New Fragrance. Enchanted Candy Potion, Stardust Magic, Sugared Spell, and Spooky Cider Lane are new scents for this year.

Just checked out my local HomeGoods this morning and had a similar experience re: overwhelm. It was thrilling though! I've always loved shopping for Halloween decor/spooky stuff but didn't realize it was a *lifestyle* until last year, so my experiences going out and trying to find stuff in late summer was a bit disappointing. This video and my trip today give me hope for a lot of awesome goodies to come this year!

i used to buy Christmas snow globes. I kept them out of the sun and packed them well. some were really expensive for the time. Now all of them have cloudy water, sooo I'll not buy any even for my Halloween. There is no way to open them to clean them either. They needed distilled water I suppose.
