I think Captain America vs Deathstroke would have been better. Deadpool vs Deathstroke has been done to death, no pun intended, and it was painfully obvious who was going to win in a fight decided by fan votes. Captain America and Deathstroke has nearly the exact same origins and they are both Super soldiers, and I think the battle would be much more close since the popularity gap is not as massive as with Deadpool and Deathstroke. I always saw Deathstroke as an Anti-Captain America since despite how similar the both of them are, they went down different paths.

As someone who has studied and practiced animation, I can tell you that even the simplest animation takes FOREVER. Animating a fight between two groups of six or seven? @@TheForeignNationalBornNatural well they're kinda from two different worlds, even though they're both marvel. So we'll never know, but I seriously doubt the penance stare would work on spawn. And that's even if spawn held still long enough for him to use it. And if he managed to use it, only the human host of the spawn suit would be stuck in the penance stare forever. The suit has no soul, yet it acts almost like a symbiote. It could still potentially destroy him, but spawns power would be lowered quite a bit without any direction or a host. So beyond that, it would be up to a comic book geek to know more about that. Well now that some comic book guys have spoken, I didn't even know spawn had his own penance stare. So that's a negative in ghost rider's favor. But ghost rider can "hulk up" if he needs to, but he has to use the environment around him. Spawn can do all that without any help, so it definitely seems that spawn would destroy the ghost rider

OhGreatItsStricken I have to say that the screw attack battle has not aged well since then. I used to think Deadpool would but I think Deathstroke should be able to beat him now. Deadpool is no longer immortal. They took curse off of him a long time ago. Deadpool's unpredictable fighting style shouldn't work either as well. People would say it's because Taskmaster would lose to Deadpool but Taskmaster is able beat him now by using Punisher's fighting style on him. He did with ease too and Deathstroke is a much better fighter than Punisher. In most fights, Deathstroke should be able to beat every time as long as he knows Deadpool completely and he doesn't have to kill Deadpool. If Deadpool used the sword that could kill people with healing factors. Deathstroke could just out skill him and turn that sword on Deadpool to kill him. This battle didn't have to end with Deathstroke killing Deadpool anyway since Batman won against Deadpool in another battle. If screw attack decides to have a rematch like how they did with Mario vs Sonic, Deathstroke should be able to win.

The result is no surprise due to deadpool's popularity with his movies and Death Battle's (at the time correct but now outdated) video, so I'm not upset, but here is my case for deathstroke: If anybody knows anything about swords, it would be that a high-quality steel sword would not be able to cut through even bronze plate armor. Now apply that to deathstroke's plate armor, which is made of possibly the strongest metal in the DC universe. The armpit and other vulnerable places in the armor are usually covered with chain mail, which would only allow blunt trauma damage, which would block Deadpool's Carbonadium from physical contact and therefore nullify its anti-heal properties. Deathstroke is more skilled than Deadpool for sure, and he should be able to simply lop deadpool's arms off and cut him down faster than he can regrow, and lock him in a metal box. This is not a death battle, so Deadpool doesn't need to die. But let's just ignore reality here, because it's comics: Deathstroke almost defeated the JLA (more like their benchwarmers) and killed Gods (with his freaking Godkiller Sword) and wears a suit which can take hits from Superman, while Deadpool's only feat beyond that is non-canon. Deadpool is just unpredictable, but nothing Deathstroke hasn't been able to handle before. Besides, "unpredictable" doesn't have quantifiable benefits. Deathstroke is trained to expect the most effective tactics from his opponents, and anything "unpredictable" will register to him as simply less effective. Do you expect not-as-skilled Deadpool to win by stabbing Deathstroke in his eye-hole? I think it's more likely Deathstroke can disable Deadpool, even if by pure luck. So unless you're gonna go with that "he breaks the fourth wall" tripe, Deathstroke is realistically better.

He's one of the few people to actually earn Ra's al Ghul's respect and was handpicked by Alexander Luthor Jr to lead the Society along with Black Adam, Talia al Ghul and Luthor himself. He also beat seven members of the Justice League in like five minutes. Those members included Black Canary, Green Arrow, Flash (Wally West), Atom, Hawkman, Elongated Man and Zatanna. He's one of the few humans to go up against Aquaman and walk away with barely a scratch and he survived getting shot about 500 times by 30 people (although just barely, as once the adrenaline wore off he fell into a coma for days).

He almost did and would have had he took more precaution with Green Arrow. Don't forget in Rebirth he went toe to toe with Superman and left unscratched, and it wasn't even Superman who beat him. It was his son Jericho who used his mind control abilities to stop Slade. Also don't forget in Rebirth he envisioned himself going up against The Society and almost winning. He has also fought Wonder Woman, and although he lost, he got in really good hits on her. The Aquaman fight did leave him a bit blood, I mean a sword was sticking out of his chest, Deadpool stands no chance against Deathstroke. The only reason he ever wins the endless fights is, "He can't die" or "I like him better."

Anyone who seriously, un-ironically, think Deadpool can beat Deathstroke has clearly no knowledge of Deathstroke or Deadpool. Deadpool has said in his own comic that if he ever went up against Slade, he would be terrified. Well, he didn't say Slade for obvious reasons but he hinted at him. Slade is stronger, faster, smarter, more skilled, and overall has better weapons and gear. The only thing Deadpool has on Slade is he heals faster. But Deathstroke can't be brought down so easily either. A bullet to the brain won't kill Deathstroke. To kill Deathstroke you either have to use his daughter's sword, or a sword with similar abilities, because it stops his healing factor, or you have to completely destroy his heart or brain, or else it will grow back. During the battle with the Justice League, Deathstroke caught Green Lantern off guard, grabbed his ring hand, and started crushing it till he had no will. Both when he beat Flash and Kid Flash it was due to a well thought out plan that lead KidFlash into Deathstroke's grasp and Flash into his blade. Something about Flash is he doesn't pay attention like Barry. He just runs and focuses on one thing. This is what usually gets him and trouble and got him there. He saw Deathstroke and the explosions but not the sword. Kid Flash was still new. The Superman win was wearing his Ikon suit which not only absorbs all damage but gives the damage back. Everytime Superman punched Slade, Slade took no damage but Superman felt like he was hitting himself. Also, even if the feat is stupid, it's still a feat. And it's one he has done multiple times. He's also not a street level guy. He started as a villain of the Teen Titans, but has since then battled the Justice League (or their members) a few times. Deathstroke was even recruited once by the JL because they needed a plan and they believed him to be a better planner than Batman.

I highly doubt Deadass would have that good accuracy with severed hand. And Deathstroke can react 10x fast enough to dodge that bullet. Dude can see Flash running and has saw Superman speeding at him. Also he has enhanced senses.

@Necramonium being immortal means nothing deadpool is an awesome character but nowhere close to unbeatable he has been knocked out on countless occasions and has been consistently beaten in hand to hand combat his issue is he doesn't take things seriously which leads to him getting beaten by characters he should be able to beat pretty easily that will be a huge issue when coming up against a guy like deathstroke who is a team buster and has defeated multiple superman level opponents deadpool won't win this fight deathstroke will always be ten steps ahead
