This movie is exactly what you'd expect when asked what Tim Burton's take on Batman would be. Comic-accurate? Hell no. Weird as fudge? Hell yes.
@ianjohn26482 жыл бұрын
Tim Burton's take on Batman as produced by Jon Peters no less. The man so bad at making comic book adaptations DC keeps paying him to have nothing to do with Superman. He added that entire 3rd act fight scene. Much like his insistence that Superman fight a giant spider in the Kevin Smith script he was adamant that the ending take place in the cathedral. He built the $100,000 set without telling Burton so that he'd be forced to use it. Most of the dialog was improved. Apparently at one point Keaton even asked why Batman is walking up all these stairs and Burton had to admit, "I don't know."

Ryan IS Screen Rant (well, at least partially). So no, he's not getting "ownership" of anything. They (SR + Ryan) are just creating an exclusive channel to keep PM "clean" of all of SR's content. And it makes sense imo since PM have been its own thing for a long time now.

The Pitch Meeting lore is insane. It's suggested that they're the same 2 people every time, but that can't be possible. In the No Way Home Pitch Meeting, the producer had not seen the Raimi and Webb Spider-Man movies, despite pitch meetings for said movies existing before-hand. I know people say "Oh, they're cousins because of Prometheus" or "These pitches aren't real, Producer Guy was hallucinating it all", but it's all disproved. God, this series is just a giant mindfuck.
@ShadyDoorags2 жыл бұрын
In the Ryan-verse, everyone looks like everyone else. (cept for that one girl) It was shown that Ryan just has a vat of clones waiting to be released in the world. This is why every week, there's a new Ryan that's the "first" to do something. Basically, we've been watching several different producers and writers, they all just happened to look alike.

@Sonic Hedgehog The Producer was hallucinating the Batman pitch, but that doesn't mean he was hallucinating every single episode.

The best pitch meetings are always the ones for older films which we've all seen multiple times. More of these on the new channel please rather than films nobody has had a chance to watch yet

I agree, now you have to wait before watching the Pitch Meeting if you don't want to get spoiled and so the joy of seeing a new upload turns into "meh another one I can't watch yet"...

I don't know... For those who can't see the movies or if they aren't sure they're worth it, these give an idea what they're like... But I agree, the older movies are the best ones.

The Pitch Meeting for Returns is gonna be great. “So with Penguin we’re gonna have his parents get rid of him when he was a baby, he doesn’t even know his real name, he’s had to live in this weird sewer zoo his whole life, wants to be recognized as a human being.” “Wow that sounds like a really deep and sympathetic take on the character.” “And then he’s gonna bite a guy’s nose so hard it squirts blood, and he’s gonna make all these really creepy sexual innuendos like wanting to fill a woman’s void and saying Catwoman is the pussy he’s been looking for, and then he’s gonna try and kill all of Gotham’s first born sons.” “OH my god!“
@John2319842 жыл бұрын
I was of course to young to pick it up, but I had family that brought me Batman and Batman Returns one christmas. I was at most 8. My mom said when watching it once she couldn't believe it when she heard the "Just the pussy I've been looking for" haha. As I just sat there.

Hopefully he mentions how Catwoman had no real part in going against Batman in the first place as her mission was to destroy everything to do with Christopher Walken's character but when she saw Batman chasing after Penguin, she thought "I want in on this"

After each time we watch a movie, our family has taken to watching these pitch meetings. Thank you for the awesome content! ^.^ here's a list of movies/television shows which we noticed don't have pitch meetings yet: House Sitter, Mystery Men, Adventures in Babysitting, Big Business, Post Man, Water World, Me Before You, Galaxy Quest, Goonies, Sweet Tooth, Cargo, Last Action Hero, Dead To Me, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990, Mr. Right, Benjamin Button, World War Z, The Fifth Element, The Stand, The Umbrella Academy, Case 39, Skyline, Guns Akimbo, Horns, Overboard, Chappie, Devil, Drag Me To Hell, Big Fish, Girl Interrupted, I Care A Lot, I Am Mother, One Fine Day, The Time Travelers Wife, Kimi, City Slickers, Tall Tales, Rein of Fire, Insidious, Oculus, 1408, The Visit... and a few others but this list feels really long so I'm gonna stop there. We would love to see if you turned any of these into pitch meetings. ^.^ Thanks for the laughs.

@southpark6452 жыл бұрын
That’s because this was never even really a good Batman movie to begin with. The dark knight is my favorite movie and I love the pitch meeting for that one, and can still enjoy the film itself. It’s better when movies like 1989’s Batman which wasn’t even that good to begin with get picked apart by Ryan
@Typexviiib2 жыл бұрын
All movies have plot holes and events that only serve to advance the plot. All stories do. A good movie will keep you so entertained that you dont notice these issues in the moment. Jurassic park is full of these issues, and its irrelevant because the movie itself captivates its audience. 89 batman sets itself up to be stylized and a bit......intentionally corny. Most audience members accept that this movie takes place in an alternate universe, and can just enjoy the spectacle.

Batman was an absolutely groundbreaking movie. The Star Wars of superhero movies. Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.
@shannons18862 жыл бұрын
@@siler7 seriously. In context of the late 80s, this movie was awesome.
@catalinamelo99322 жыл бұрын
It's still a good movie-- most of the "pitch plot holes" cover are that each character has a "personality" which is why they do things they do. e.g. Joker killing everyone just because. Basically in all movies (probably except Joker) he has no purpose to kill-because that's the joke. ;)
