It’s almost sad to hear this game was kinda good, knowing what was coming next. The same developers were going to make a Dark Knight game to release alongside that film as well. It was going to have a massive open world, bring the actors back again, and just be bigger and better in every way. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the time, resources, or technology to do what they wanted. So EA canned their project after 2 whole years of development. Then, EA’s license to Batman expired, they didn’t renew it, the video game rights were given to Rocksteady, and we all know the rest. Hearing this game was at least average sounds like they could have really improved just about everything, even if only slightly, for The Dark Knight, and made a truly spectacular game. I’m ultimately glad that didn’t happen, for obvious reasons, but I’d really like to see a timeline where EA gave them the time and money they needed to make The Dark Knight a reality.

I never understood why game devs felt the need to go wild with animations or elemental theming in games featuring fairly grounded superhero protagonists. There's a sort of wild flailing quality to Batman's animations here that just make him come off goofy, like whoever thought the exaggerated stealth takedown motions or the butterfly/jump spinning kick in combat would be good, didn't get checked during the concept phase to maybe tone it down some. Reminds me of some old Spider-Man games where they felt the need to add vfx trails to his moves like a backflip kick or rising uppercut should feature fire.

Even put in the Court of owls(Like a side mission etc.) That is my only rebuttable to the game series but im sure that would had taken a decade if not more. Just look at RDR2 and what they did to make that game what it is today. Surely a lot of untapped potential.

In honor of this game I’m playing Arkham Knight in the Nolan trilogy bat suit. Can’t wait to pick this game up again when I find it at my local trade in game store.

I loved this game. Batman Begins is my favorite Batman movie and this game simulated it well

Pretty good video on what previous Batman games before Arkham but I think a video on Batman Vengeance could also be very cool.

I recon the fear aspect was way better in the Batman begins game. You could actually hear the thugs hearts race

Wasn't there a similarish Batman game on ps2 before this called Batman: Vengeance? Is that the grandfather of Arkham?
@calebgriffy458511 ай бұрын
Actually the Batman and Robin game from the PS1 is the Grandfather of the Arkham games. It's open world, you can select 3 characters from Batman, Robin and Batgirl and also drive their own vehicles.

I love how quick and agile Batman is in this. I HATE how slow and immobile Batman is in the Arkham games when you're not in combat.

Regarding the outro, I can't speak for everyone but you're right. I don't give a shit. BUT, I don't give a shit that you don't upload often. I give a shit about whether you are doing well and can make the stuff you like.
