Batman is easily DC’s most successful character in live action with multiple different film franchises and tv show appearances and seeing as you can’t have Batman without a Batsuit and with Micheal Keaton’s Batman returning in The Flash and there seemingly not being another live action Batman appearance for over two years, now would be a good time to look at every live action Batsuit and rank them from worst to best.

Pattinson’s cowl is based off Gotham by gaslight & 66 Batman not daredevil. The caller and ears are Gotham by gaslight & the stitch in sections of the cowl are based on Adam West cowl. Matt Reeves is a HUGE 66 Batman fan. Also in the 66 movie the team of villains was riddler, Penguin, catwoman, & joker. With barry keoghan’s cameo, the Batman has the same lineup of villains.

Batman's ears being changed from what it was in BvS ultimately makes the other suits a failure. They had the perfect BvS suit but I guess they were trying to sell merchandise? But still. Those ears made such a huge difference. After BvS he just looked like a darker Owl Man.

I think that the Returns and Flash Batsuits correct a lot of the problems with the 1989 Batsuit (namely the Batsymbol, the quality of the material used for the Batsuit, and the texture/detail of the armor itself)

Totally agree on what the top 3 should be. I would just switch #1 and #2. Both absolutely nail what they’re going for, I just love how they were able to adapt the earth 1 style suit with the uniquely shaped cowl. Can’t fault you for putting the bvs suit above it though. I love it as well.

The Ben Affleck suit from the flash is really hard to talk about cause in the movie it serves the purpose it was made for given how Batman was taking heavy collisions it makes sense. Obviously it's not a good suit beside that but it also shows the fact about Batman suits ever changing to fit the situation he is in and that's something I love about the Ben Affleck's Batman. So ya I do think it's perfect without it actually being perfect

I gotta say that I find your ranking pretty fair when it comes to the burton/shumacher suits cause something that I find hypocritical with people is when they put the 89 suit in a top spot while one of Shumachers suits (ex.Batman forever) will get a bottom spot for really no major reason other than “nipples” and I feel that’s unfair since Burton and Schumacher suits really aren’t that dissimilar when you look at them. All black muscle suit, limited movement, with cowl, gauntlets, and boots looking standard. The only other big differences between the suits are something like the yellow belt and logo on Keaton. I know it’s all personal opinion when it comes to rankings but it’s the hypocrisy that gets me

Sorry to disagree, but Michael Keaton's costumes are my favorite in terms of color scheme. In terms of functionality though, I guess I'd go with the Dark Knight costume. I know the gray bodysuit is popular with most comic book fans, but the only one of those that I like is the Batsuit from Batman the Animated Series. If that's wrong, I don't want to be right.

Even though ''Bob Kan'' came up with the idea for the character. Kane's early vision of Batman included {red tights with no emblem, a domino mask and black Bat Wings}. Kane also originally wanted to depict ''Bruce Wayne'' as a blond and not a brunette. But it was in Batman's co- creator artist (Bill Finger)...Who we have to thank for visual aesthetic that defined the character for all time. I have to disagree that the skin tight spandex can't work for Batman. The actor from the fan film Batman: Dead End absolutely nails it because he has the physique to look large and intimidating despite the suit not having the look of thick armor plating. It also has the best cinematic shot of stylizing the cape when he jumps from a roof into an alley, the cape sprawled out around him so when he stands up, it looks like he's "melting up" from the ground like a living shadow.

Honestly, I think I would have put the Adam West costume ahead of the Birds of Prey abomination, and the Clooney/Kilmer Batsuits. I didn't like ANY of those. My favourite has been Affleck's Batsuit from Batman vs Superman (the regular one, not the armour). The only thing I might have liked is for its ears to be a little taller... not MUCH, just a little.

My favorite suit is the Adam west suit cause like the series they were going for a more comic accurate design with some liberties taken like the eyebrows and the nose being outlined in white but back then the suit colors was a lighter grey and lighter blue the tone of the series was emulating the tone of the comics with the show actually reading a tone of comics to get the the accuracy right

Affleck's BvS suit is indeed great. I have only a few problems with it. I would replace the cowl with Keaton's second cowl (Batman Returns) for the ears and the shape of the eyebrows. I would also replace the belt with the Keaton belt (which was perfect, like in the comics but a little more detailed). But on top of all, I would get rid of the huge bat on Affleck's chest. I love the yellow oval. I think the logo was best on Kilmer's regular Batman suit. My second favorite Batman suit would be Kilmer's regular Batman suit, but with Keaton's belt and Keaton's second cowl.

I agree with your top 5 choices, but prefer Bale's first (Batman Begins) suit to his second one. They're both good, but the first one was truly menacing, while the second sacrifices presence for utility, which does make sense for the sequels, as criminals are already afraid of him. FYI - Batlfeck's cowl (and sometimes also his cape) in BvS was CGI. If you watch the making of the warehouse fight scene you'll see that his stunt double wasn't wearing a cowl or even a cape. Also, while the yellow utility belt looks nice and is somewhat iconic, it would ruin his stealthy profile. Batman Begins solved this by making it a bronze color (12:47) so something similar might work.

Imo Batman probably has the worst track record when it comes to live action suits. The BVS suit is the only one I think it's genuinely excellent. And the TDK suit is aaaaaaass. The cowl is terrible with literally 0 chin game, and the weirdly wide ears.

What's the difference between Batfleck's BvS suit & Justice League suit? Don't get me wrong, I 1000% agree that it's the number 1 live-action suit, but what's so different between the two?

The JL suit is more armored in appearance (check the abs) and has an uglier cowl. It’s more cat like or panther like. If you look at the BvS suit, it’s more human in appearance and has a more accurate looking cowl to the TDKR artwork.

Dude, the goggles makes perfect sense in the Desert and on the tactical suit. The coat as well. There was an old TV series where they wore the coat in the desert as well. Let me guess, you never seen that series before. It was called Rat Patrol, starred ChristopherGeorge. As for the tactical suit, he wore the goggles because it gave him reading on what he was looking at. I guess you missed that part too. That tactical suit was one of the best Batman live action suits to date. As for the Flash suit, it's Barry Allen's firt suit, it's suppose to look bad.

Black and Grey. Black and Blue is not practical or would look good in a movie. All black batsuit makes perfect sense for live action.

Idk if you have ever done it, but can you rank the Arkham suits in each game. Like rank all the suits in City, Origins, and Knight. I don’t think you can change the suit in Asylum. Also I love and 100% agreed with this vid, except I might have put the Batman Returns suit a bump or two higher.
