The best thing about this movie is how the "censored" version of the Joker's death is just as, if not more violent than the original cut

@@Darkjonny79 " that's not funny, that's not funny at all" though I do agree I like the censored slapstick death more than the shooting him death. Mostly cause I think there's kinda a poetic justice to it. both kinda, have that element, but I think it fits better being the joker's final joke backfires on himself in the worst way possible. like when you see bugs and daffy do the argument over who gets shot bit. They go back and forth, but daffy's ego of need to feel superior and win the fight that ultimately gets him shot multiple times. I feel the censored version is more interesting visually too. In the uncut version, he gets shot and makes a joke about it not being funny. In the censored version the joker and robin have a fight, he gets pushed into vats of liquids and ends up shocking himself to death when he pulls on a lever as he falls.
@Darkjonny795 жыл бұрын

That said, it is impressive that the show is of such high quality based on the network telling then they needed to make a teen Batman show to sell more merchandise. I’ve never been able to look past the utter absurdity of Joker coming back. First of all, since when was he some brilliant scientist? The most science-y thing he ever did was create the Joker toxin, which is a far, _far_ cry from *literally figuring out how to clone your mind onto a tiny chip that when activated will transform the host’s body into yours.* It’s just kinda... dumb, honestly. I’m also not a huge fan of how it insinuates that the only reason Joker kept coming back was because Batman never talked much to him. As if all Bruce could have stopped him a long time ago had he simply thought “hey, maybe I should try backtalking him”. That retroactively kinda cheapens Batman and Joker’s many encounters over the years and makes Bruce look really bad- apparently if he’d had this one incredibly simple idea back then, he could’ve prevented the Bat-Family from ever being torn apart.
@thewindthatblows2 жыл бұрын
Also, the microchip cheapens the agency of Tim's characther. It would have been much more interesting if the characther was the Joker by his own choice: at some point he would actually implant the chip on himself for the guilt he still felt in killing a person and when that guilt kicks in he becomes the Joker to let him live a bit longer (some of the previous brainwashing had its toll on his psyche)

Technically I think he can't stay invisible forever because it makes the suit overheat. As in the IR radiation from the suit and his body heat is bounced back and trapped inside the cloaked suit until he uncloaks it. Something like that was mentioned in the first episode.

Can you do an episode about the comic where the Hulk goes to Israel to assassinate a child who is prophesized to become the next Hitler but then has to fight Sabra, the best Marvel character of all time?

I always thought that was Barbara Gordan under the Mask of the Phantasm in the Batman Beyond Origins.

It was...I'm pretty sure. But the woman who was the original, when old, might have looked the same. But, no. I'd say you're correct
@DarkSpartanFTW4 жыл бұрын
Alex Williams I don’t think it is. Barbara Gordon was never stated to ever Become the Phantasm. And besides, it was confirmed that the Phantasm was the OG Phantasm in that scene. But the idea makes sense. Andrea Beaumont looks a lot like Barbara Gordon.

The fact that Terry could fly made their Spider-man call-out that much more obvious when they had him swing on a line carrying a guy, recreating the cover to Amazing Fantasy #15. (He was clearly created as an amalgam of Spider-man and Batman, and that was just one of many ways the creative team acknowledged it. Those DC animated shows had a lot of Marvel shout-outs in them.)

The *twist* in justice league that terry is secretly the son of bruce wayne is reeallly dumb in my opinion - it reminds me of all the star wars theories that insist every main character must be a skywalker in some way. it’s not even like bruce gave him “super dna” because batman is theoretically supposed to not have any powers.

The Joker kills more people in this one movie than all the other movies with him combined. Think about it, all those buildings being blown up by the space laser are super skyscrapers from 2039 that are like 100 stories tall minimum and must be full of people. The highways are packed with thousands of cars as we see Terry zoom by them. That one chase scene is a god damn genocide. How many thousand people did the Joker kill in the brief several minutes he was using it?

I hate the terry clone subplot if they do a live action version I hope they take that out. It takes away the point of terry’s character. Plus Damien exist so there’s no point in making terry his son

E. Segovia same thing tho. My point was i liked that terry was someone unrelated to Bruce. It shows that anybody could be Batman which added to his Character. I think Even b4 Damien and terry they were Bruce Wayne jrs In certain stories.

I've been noticing a lot of people recently stating that the "caravan of garbage" title doesn't fit some of these videos that cover legitimate good films/shows. To me I think the title still works because sometimes forgotten things get thrown out that can be good or bad. For instance, I'm sure a lot of you guys have forgotten about this movie, and your brain kinda threw it out. Theres been a lot of coverage of good films tho recently (Blade, Rami trilogy, this) so make a separate title for the ones that aren't bad, like "caravan of things that are pretty alright and not totally garbage". Ok, I'm done, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

I personally don't like Epiloge. I feel like it undermines too much of this show putting Amanda Waller in control of everything, and Terry being a secret clone of Bruce never felt like a genuine twist that they had since the beginning. It feel like something they shoehorned into JL to officially cut off ties to BB.
@NoVideosFound05 жыл бұрын
Looking at what was planned for the canceled movie, it's confirmed that it actually wasn't a last-minute thing!
@Narumi49185 жыл бұрын
@@NoVideosFound0 I just recently found out about that movie after making this comment, but you are right! If I'm being honest though, I still feel from a narrative perspective that it's a very dissatisfying end to Terry's arc to make him a clone of Bruce. It should be believable enough that Terry and Bruce have endured enough similar suffering that Bruce would feel comfortable trusting Terry to hand off the Batman mantle to him. I just feel like it's an unnecessary and super complicated plot point that doesn't serve the story, much as it's there more to just make Amanda Waller look cool. Batman is like Spider-Man, where I feel like he's been around long enough he's more of a symbol than just the man behind the mask. More than Peter Parker or Bruce Wayne.
@NoVideosFound05 жыл бұрын
@@Narumi4918 Yeah, I completely get that. But don't let the fact that we know about it now discredit the fact that Bruce didn't (fully) know from the beginning, so their bond is still what it was. I do see the appeal of not having Terry be a clone of Bruce, but at this point it is what it is.
@gooseherdez3362 жыл бұрын
One of the reasons why Batman Beyond felt darker than TAS is because since they couldn't kill one shot villains (since it was supposed to be a show aimed at young kids), they found more "creative" ways to dispose of them. And as they say, some fates are worse than death
