Exactly. She was genetically altered to be able to survive on Zebes, a planet which has 960x the gravity of Earth. On Earth, she’d absolutely be a superhuman even without the suit. As for the cold weakness, that just felt like a weird retcon in Dread because in Fusion (which takes place before Dread), she was able to survive the ice beam of the SA-X after getting most of her abilities back by the time she finally was able to fight it. When she reabsorbed the SA-X and fully regained the Varia Suit, series producer Sakamoto said she eliminated the weakness to cold…until Dread decided to retcon that because game mechanic.

@@ContagiousSponge From what I understand, her suit is closer to biological in nature. Its not a living suit, but its effectively part of her body. The chozo apparently found a way to blend technology with biology pretty well. Its why Samus grunts and cries out when damaged in combat. Getting hit does hurt a bit. But what would blow a hole in a house wall, would be like a pin prick to her. Her sensors and such are all normal technology though which is why as CompositeCreavity said, her visor gets blinded by some of those attacks. I suspect the helmet is the only part of her suit that isn't chozo tech or isn't mostly their tech.

All considered, all Samus needs to keep her suits energy reserves up is a power source to drain with her metroid powers. Like say, from the laser itself. I mean, we don't know what limits her Metroid powers can go as they've only just awakened fully in Dread. For all we know, she could turn a consecrated heat beam into an energy source to fuel her plasma cannon. Who knows what kind of limits she could reach.

The biggest problem in creating contingencies for Samus is that she is an ever evolving threat, able to gain new abilities from any enemy she defeats. Also, surprising her is difficult because her Scan Visor will tell her everything she needs to know about her opponent, allowing her to plan accordingly.

The problem with making a plan to fight Samus is she’s very adaptable, and can vary wildly in power. In the Prime series she’s incredibly sluggish and immobile but has firepower beyond anything Earth can muster, where as in the 2D games her firepower is slightly lesser but she can outpace olympians in armor so heavy she sinks like a stone. Her Ability to adapt technology of any origin into her armor suit, as well as adapting biological powers too mean you functionally CAN’T plan around anything. Her visors also are not to be underestimated. The Scan Visor takes mere SECONDS to crack the highest level of computer Encryption at 30 Meters. So any plan would have to be such an overwhelming first strike she’s completely utterly deceased, or she’ll bounce back with all your stuff

I wonder if the kids today realize what a mind blowing piece of media Metroid was when it was released in 1986. It was the first video game to have an actual twist ending. The reveal of Samus being a female was so cool and added a new perspective on what came before. I'll admit it's no accident it came out the same year as Aliens and Ripley almost certainly inspired the character. But people just didn't think that way back then. They took everything at face value. Samus seemed male and there was no reason to think she wasn't so no one did. And the instruction book included outright lied to keep the secret referring to Samus as "he." Every female character before her in video games was a damsel in distress or something like that. And there was no internet to spoil it. If you didn't hear someone talking about beating the game at school or see a screenshot of the ending in a magazine you had to actually beat it to find out..

That’s not entirely true. While the suit is bio mechanical and has organic systems that merge with Samus’s body. It can still be removed if she so chooses. We see her do it in most Metroid games at the end once the mission is over.

A couple points. Metroid Fusion showed Samus could freeze the SA-X, so freeze weapons would slow her down even with a Varia Suit active. I think the thing Bruce forgot to account for, is Samus has infiltrated a Space pirate mother ship without her Power Suit, and given the combat abilities she accrued over time, she might not be able to take as much punishment, but she might not be easy to hit. Someone did their homework for this. In reality, both Samus Aran and Batman would get along by sharing the whole "having your parents taken from you due to a villainous character's actions" stories. Samus due to what Ridley did on K-2L when she was a child and Batman due to what happened in "Crime Alley". I'm not 100% up to speed on the details, but it seems Joe Chill is a recurring factor in Batman's origin story. With the exception of Tim Burton's Batman movie, Chill is the one who kills the parents of Bruce Wayne, the one who would become Batman. This was even touched upon in the kid-friendly "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" series with a rather dark episode called "Chill of the Night", which borrowed elements from the comics. In the comics, some unnamed thugs found out Joe Chill created the "Dark Knight of Gotham City" that criminals fear. A distinction between the comics and the aforementioned "Chill of the Night" episode is that instead of nameless thugs, members of Batman's Rogues Gallery end up lashing out at Chill with fists due to finding out his connection to the Dark Knight. Both scenarios ended with the same outcome: Joe Chill dies.

Sounds like Bats is thinking as if Samus cant fight back. She has very dangerous weapons like the Wave/Plasma beams, Power Bombs (portable nuke), Id throw Super Missiles in there too, the Spacer (basically flight), the Screw Attack, even the Hyper Beam on some occasions. We also forget she now has Metroid powers as well as ADAM and her ship, which might as well be the same thing in this case, that can provide assistance. And this isnt mentioning all of the crazy suits she gets, or the powers she gets in stuff like the Prime series.

@@KopperNeoman For the individual weapons, it would be easiest to take into account whatever is considered standard issue for Alliance troops and just stick with those. The biotics would be their own dedicated segment, then perhaps a brief overview of the Omni Tool and its capabilities. But it’s up to Multiversal Wisdom how he would approach it. Whether he’s played the games or not, this would open up new possibilities for making videos like this with characters like Shepard and other game characters like him that can vary based on preference of the players. Shepard’s own natural charisma and ability to persuade others to side with him (assuming Paragon Shepard is the version focused on) would also be important for Batman to keep in mind.
