Something that wasn't mentioned here is that Weeping Angels tend to travel in groups, and they can "quantum lock" each other, which is why they keep their eyes covered. If one can trick two or more into uncovering their eyes, one can position them so that they are looking at each other.

The problem there is that we already have means to stop it, emps work in much the same way, and alot of devices are already resistant to it. It'll take some time to find their exact limits, but they will have limits, and thus we can make them immune to them with enough time and energy.

Angels are invulnerable to damage while they're statues. Amy Pond does exactly what you're suggesting with only closing one eye and leaving the other open. One big problem, any image of an Angel will become an Angel. That includes your eye/brain. Stare at one for too long and you'll too become an Angel.

If a Weeping-Angel can leap into a person’s mind (like one did to Amy pond) and a Video becoming an actual angel as well as later in an official canon mobile game (forgot the name), an Angel taken as a photo infects the phone and starts to control it. Contingency Plan: The Part Where He Kills You. Subject: Wheatley (Portal 2). I think this would be an interesting one, considering the Portal world canonically has a multiverse. So while the main Wheatley is a nonthreat in space, there are thousands spread throughout the broader multiverse. I also think it would be interesting to see Batman’s perspective on him, perhaps speculating on whether or not he has a robotic form of ADHD or other mental illness. Because while Wheatley was built to be just a moron, he came up with the plan to beat GLaDOS, created distractions so he could talk to Chell, and would’ve won if it wasn’t for his programming holding him back. He’s a really fascinating character, deserving more respect than his fandom gives him, and I’d be honored if you just considered this idea.

It is my understanding that the angles turn to stone when any living thing looks at them. Machines don't count & the life form just needs at least 1 eye & a living brain to process vision. Can you imagine trying to solve a puzzle made with a photo of a weeping angel? Anytime you stop looking at it the image on the pieces moves. It would be so frustrating, one moment you are trying to match up a piece of shoulder, but when you lose eye contact with the puzzle to look for the piece the image moves and now you are looking for part of the mouth or a hand or maybe one of its eyes, but you don't know that because when you last saw that part of the puzzle it was a shoulder. Weeping angels live by consuming your time and there is no better way for them to consume your time than by trapping you in a room until you solve the puzzle.

Read a whole discussion about the merit of alternating having one eye open. One thing I thought of, and it's still probably imperfect, is one eye is closed and when you need to open it do so. Then when both eyes are open, close the other eye. This would eliminate changing field of view the angel might be able to take advantage of. If this does work it would work only with one, maybe two, angels at best. And only for as long as one can remain awake. I was surprised no one seemed to think of this since I couldn't find it in the comments of the discussion.

I'd also add that the angels were capable of replicating within the visual memory of the observer. So even looking at them doesnt stop them but could potentially cause one to form inside the observer. Memory scrubbers for your robots (which would also need something to overcome the angels abilities to manipulate quantim fields particularly electrot-atomic fields).

If you can trap them in a mirrored room with some sort of non-electrical lightsource, that'll stop'em. However, non-electrical lightsources have finite lifespans - Minutes to hours for fire, hours to a day for chemical glowsticks. I recommend using a tritium light source, as that sort of light source can last for a couple decades before losing potency - giving you plenty of time to work out a more permanent solution.

The first time we ever saw weeping angels, they were defeated by getting them to surround the TARDIS then the TARDIS disappeared, tricking the angels into looking at each other. Can't imagine it would be too hard to do something similar. Get a superhero or machine capable of time manipulation, use it as bait, then make it disappear once two or more angels are in position, getting them to look at each other, permanently locking each other.
