These contingency plans are fun to watch. If I was going to make a contingency plan for Steven, I think reverse engineering anti-gem tech such as the Rejuvenator scythe and building it into like a prison or handcuffs or something to contain a Gem where instead of memory erasing a gem, it just prevents them from using their powers (such as shapeshifting, fusion, bubbling, etc.) and since Steven would be susceptible to such Gem tech like this because he is half gem, this could be beneficial to keep him from going out of control should his emotions get the better of him. Also, if you think we can't, we'll find a way. I saw what you did there. XD.

This is 99% perfect. I kinda wish Batman mentioned that removing Steven's gem would also likely kill Steven himself. Noting that harming much less killing a young person, let alone one as well meaning as Steven is something that he absolutely does not want to do and is actually very thankful the tactic isn't even viable as a last resort contingency.

It's uncertain if removing Steven's gem would kill him, as he was able to survive for minutes without it, although in a terribly weakened state. And for good reason. Separated, Steven was still able to commune and perceive through his gem. A close approximation to this might be akin to severing a person's corpus callosum. They could adapt, though not without consequences.

These videos have recently resparked my creativity. As someone who likes to write short stories, an also working on 2 full length books, it's easy to feel burnt out. I actually started writing my own Batman contingencies inspired by this, but haven't shared any of them. Ones ranging from Jason Voorhees to Code Lyoko to Liu Kang. It is important as a creative to occasionally work on such small scale personal project, even if you neve intend to share them, just to give your imagination some stretching.

Question, why the name "Sins of the mother." The discussion about Rose's actions are complex and controversial (some calling her a villain when they forget the genocide of her sisters), couldn't she use a more neutral code name? Also, Steven's Traumas are for his entire life, not just Rose. He himself created scenarios that led to his traumas such as confronting Jasper, saving Eyeball, lying saying she was his mother in front of Aquamarine, etc. Those actions are those of a hero, but the pain he suffered was not Rose's fault, it was his decisions. We also have things to free Lapis who, together with the Cluster, caused a huge domino effect, not having direction in his life due to his father, his stepmothers taking or causing him situations of death, etc. In short, Sins of the mother is not entirely correct code name Aside from that, Steven is obviously not Rose's sin.

From what I can, Rose's actions in defending Earth seem to be an attempt at redemption. It's true she was an accessory to many horrors, but can we really deny a person a chance at atonement if they are truly remorseful?

I believe it was called Sins of the Mother because pretty much most of Steven's childhood was spent cleaning up the mess that Rose left him, and that's not even counting enemies like Spinel who literally poisoned the planet because of Rose's actions.

@@SoulHero7 (Warning: Lot of Text) I mean, think, the disaster that happened for the Crystal Gems (not just Rose) to save the world, and like I said, most of the things that happen to Steven were his own fault. And Future's conflicts(What caused the Kaiju) are more due to the void in Steven's life. Even Greg is by far more guilty than Rose in this and even though he had the opportunity to live with him. Again, domino effect, if the Cluster did not exist (and Lapis had been bubbled and not locked by Pearl) Homeworld would never have returned(And the ones to blame for Steven's trauma would be the Crystal Gems for almost killing Steven almost daily (And Pearl semi-intentionally twice). Of course, without the Homeworld attack, there would be no Peridot, Lapis, Bismuth, Off Colors and Pretty much the real end of the war and Diamonds Tiranny. It is a journey of ups and downs. Postscript: don't bring Spinel into this one, it's a pointless deus ex machina just to hurt the image Rose even more(Lapis trapped without being able to escape? Spinel had a space portal). Volleyball is much better at reflecting a conflict with the old Rose and didn't have to destroy a world on a whim. Point apart, how many gems have the Diamonds abandoned?
