Dude you missed the important parts at the end, taking away the impact of the story. Batman is in hell. After he wishes he was still alive, he is whisked away for his eternal torment. Also iirc he made a deal with that demon in crime alley. The joker being alive in the end was just sad but wasnt important.

Honestly I had a somewhat hard time following the story overall. From what I got, batman paused when reaching the joker letting him die (or not the ending was confusing) and the rest of it was batman in hell or something?. And I didn't get then enchantress part either. I wanna be able to understand the story cause I love almost all the other batman ones. Please someone explain to the best of their abilities what this was about?

From what I gathered, and I could be way off, is batman let joker fall on the water. He us later "saved" from the stab wound he had by the paramedics only to not actually be alive (he called pennyworth but no response and only Constantine came), meaning he died. This is why Constantine was saying little difference between alive and dead. The good and the bad were fighting for his soul with the bad being represented by what's her face. In the end batman died but joker... Joker lived

From what I gathered, the joker Batman is saying "I wish you were alive" is either Joker or Johnny from the Joker comic And the Joker that survived the fall is either Joker from the Joker comic or Johnny from the Joker Comic how now turned into the joker? At the end of the Joke comic we see Johnny going off the deep end and laughing and getting his cheeks mutilated So either people confused Johnny's body for Joker's due to the disfiguration, or Johnny turned into the Joker.

Bruce made a deal with Enchantress as a kid to become Batman. During his final fight with Joker, Batman was fatally stabbed with a knife and let Joker fall to his death when he could've saved him. Since he was fatally stabbed, he did die, but was allowed go walk the mortal plane as Enchantress tries to collect his soul or whatever.

i'll do my best to try to comment some of my thoughts and opinions without spoiling much of the story itself where i can but be warned my comment could spoil some for those who are just watching/reading.. alright lets see... For me, I have to say, this has been a very intriguing and interesting story for batman. i think my first thought would be either if the mention of a stab wound is mistaken or just overlooked then mentioned later or if we get to see a batman that is well seems to be slowly losing it. getting more and more stressed, agressiveand on edge but still trying to do what he feels is right. even if it hurts himself and those around him. .. from the moment you see constantine if you know him you're already aware that the story is either going to be serious yet comedic or could end up going very very dark(one of my favorite characters when used right, kinda like booster gold can be, i was happy to see him get some hero respect in recent issues) . after his appearance your mind will race wondering where the story might go....(i gotta say too for some reason i'm reminded of hecate a bit and that i like the addition of boston deadman is a welcome addition to almost any dc or constantine story. ) leaning between a supernatural element and a solid mystery we try to think and figure out what could be happening or about to happen. and still we're off. a good thing really. it keeps you guessing mostly for a large chunk of the series and still leaves some questions open to the reader. the shear insanity and rush of information and events/actions that come next fit the starting pace pretty well and pump the adrenaline and curiousity for what may happen (especially when we know how batman feels about magic and the supernatural in that sense) soon we and batman get hit with many questions and few if any answers. but there is always this small hope even if you feel like everything is fucked, that batman will figure it out and come through in the end. we're surprised and confused as i'm sure the characters are too and slowly start to get answers that just give us more questions. :::tbc(to be continued)

to avoid anything too spoiling things get tragic and silly yet pitiable and sad... we have a few more surprises and potentially expected cameos.. (btw i have a question about that if someone that knows dc and marvel well could help me out with a reasonable answer) . (btw didnt want to but sat looking at it a second and gotta ask did the statue remind anyone else of gargoyles or doctor who ( havent even seen it much myself but have heard about the i think it was sobbing angels? well anyway back to the thoughts, opinion, and review.) but anyway. the story heads on giving more details to the begining while still leaving many things out. even in the end really. but we get a fairly deep look at the joker and a couple characters mentality around him at least in this universe. slowly would be a mistaken choice of words for the progression of things, we quickly push forward towards the end. getting some knowledge to help us undrerstand until we finally get to the end and are left with more questions than answers. (i do think to be sure i'll have to read the issues myself to get the full effect and try to see the ideas behind it with a quick search there are 2 tpb and 3 issues. i'd like to ask someone to explain to me if there are differeneces and things to them tbh. i've read a fair bit of comics but never fully understood the terms and use)

in summary i would say that this is certainly worth a read or watch. the art style is excellently done and fits the mood of the story. and while a bit jumbled and confusing the premise and story itself do come to some kind of ending. favorite aspects. the cameos and apperances of justice league dark's magical characters in a batman story and how they are portrayed well enough to fit character yet each has an air of mystery to them at first in this situation. , the darker yet detailed art style was a big plus in my book. harley playing homage to the martha wayne joker though idk if many noticed. batman's personal journey throughout.. and i think number 1 would be the attempt to give an ending even though it was rushed. least favorite: i could throw so many things into this spot but instead i'd like to just put two. first: it disappointed me a bit that while we had so many cameos and stuff we didnt get much alone time with batman or really any other bat family character development. and second but number 1. how they ended up hurrying the series and canceling it when it had so much potential in conclusion. you can tell that it was planned to be longer but ended up rushed and suffered for it. i think this is due in small part to the timing it came out not really because people and fans didnt want more darker stories but because they ignored it hoping for releases of things they were already following and worried that "damned" would take away from it especially batman stories... which really is truly disppointing. while its not amazing it is a pretty solid batman story with a nice supporting cast that will keep you guessing and surprise you a few times. i hope my opinion doesnt ruin it or offend anyone. its meant just to give my feelings on the video/story.
