I watch this when it first came out and this is still one of my favorite videos that has ever been on KZbin. This had one of the best portrayals of Darth Vader, Batman, and everyone else involved. There were multiple ways Vader could easily kill Batman. A single lightsaber slash, pummeling him onto the ground with the force, pop a blood vessel in his brain with the force, or straight up crush his organs. Honestly, force users are freaking terrifying when you stop to think about it.

This shouldn't even be a contest. 1. Anakin Skywalker was one of the best duelists of the Clone Wars era, only rivaled by Mace Windu and Obi-wan Kenobi (Yoda was a better force user, and Mace and Obi-wan would beat Batman any day) 2. Vader's force powers include: telekinesis (throw Batman into anything hard enough and he's dead), force choke, force augmentation (enhancement of physical abilities beyond Batman's own), force sense (can sense Batman's presence and gadgets), and even force lightning (which he never used as his suit was designed by Palpatine who made it extremely vulnerable to lightning to keep Vader in check) 3. A goddamn lightsaber Better physical abilities, a wide spectrum of force abilities, and a weapon the likes of which Batman has never seen are more than enough to defeat the Dark Knight The only thing Batman has going for him is managing to exploit Vader's cybernetics and electrocute him (which would be difficult as it is nearly impossible to catch Vader off

While I agree with most of your statments I disagree on that he was still a top class fighter, is openly known that after he got defeated and scarred he lost a lot of his power, and he is now way more slow (due to his prosthetics) that's why he had to change from an acrobatic style like Qui Gon used to play and he is no where to be able to jump as he was before. Also his use of the force got lowered too, Darth Vader has more knowledge of the force than Anakin, but in terms of raw power he lost a big portion of his power (due to his body getting so heavily burned), also he can't cast the signature lighting of the Sith as he has no natural limb to use it it would burn his armor first. But I agree with that Batman is overrated, is sad that he got turned into an emo alike Gary Stu of DC.

Alfonso Cabrera I'd say his dueling abilities were limited but better than the Bat's as the force augmentation would really help. After all, he killed almost every Jedi who survived Order 66 The lightning is more of a last resort; you are correct that his injuries limited his power but if he hadn't been injured he would've been more than capable of this ability. And yeah, of course Batman somehow acquires a Jedi Lightsaber before his encounter with Vader. What I think Bat in the Sun does extremely wrong with Force Users in battles is allowing a person in a force choke to still act. Especially with Vader, Batman wouldn't be able to do anything in a grip of that power. Batman could put up more resistance than say, the average Rebel Pilot but he'd still fall very quickly. The alternate ending is stupid; this is Batman vs Vader not Batman and Superman vs Vader. A stupid plot device to set up the fight somehow saves the day. If Superman can help Batman, why can Starkiller or Palpatine come? Batman fanboying is too strong

In the eyes of a human, the jedi/sith move at insane speeds, it's only contained on camera for us to view, but in reality, they fight so quickly that the force allows them to have insanely fast reflexes, how do you think they deflect lasers? +DrumCoversFromHell I can list all of the major flaws in this video: 1. You can't approach the Death Star with a cloaking device, the sensory on that battle station is insane. 2. You can't enter the Death Star unless they drop the force field via clearance. 3. You cannot freely navigate your vessel due to the high end tractor beams the battle station has. 4. You cannot use simple ninja-stealth tactics on a Jedi/Sith to sneak around them. 5. Batman's EMP device is not strong enough to shut off electronics from the Star Wars universe. 6. Batman would have been cut down instantly the moment he pulled out Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber. He is not fast enough to contend with a Jedi/Sith, nor does he know any of the lightsaber fighting styles to even put up a fight. 7. Vader would not have bothered trying to duel Batman with a lightsaber and would have just rag-dolled him for wasting his time, even with his suit shut off (if by some miracle that ever happened). 8. Vader would not have let himself get hit by those missiles from Batman's ship. I'm not gonna bother adding in about Superman being captured, but there are some logical ways it could have happened that make sense.

Yeah what lots of people dont get: even if Vader doesnt kill him right away with force choke, he would demolish Batman in a lightsaber fight. The reason is simple: yes, Batman is trained in swordfighting but the force isnt just used for moving stuff around and choking people. Forceusers can use the force to accelerate their movements with the saber, pushing their speed at a value beyond that of a normal being. For example: Palpatine used a sith saber technique that makes you insanely fast and with that instantly killing 2 of the 4 jedi who tried to arrest him. Sure Vader isnt as strong in his armor but its enough to be way to strong/fast for a non force user.

@@snerdterguson First off, I want to preface this that I'm not talking about the Star Wars extended universe because I know that has some ridiculous things in it and I'm not too familiar with it. The thing is, for force choking, it's been shown with other force users that it only really effects one part of their body, basically being the equivalent of a vice around someone's neck. But the rest of the body is free to move, and it takes at minimum five seconds or so for a person to fall unconscious from the force choke most of the time. So Batman would very likely have a chance to use any one of his many gadgets, or just a batarang, on Vader and cut off his concentration that way. And I'm fairly certain it's been shown with other force users that if they're harmed during the process it tends to stop, at least from my memory that's what happens. And again, I don't recall any instance, in the mainline universe, where a force sensitive completely immobilizes someone. So Batman would still be capable of moving and using his arsenal of weaponry and said arsenal of weaponry would very likely interrupt the force hold. And force wielders haven't been shown to have precognition on that level consistently. They can't see the future, and in terms of accuracy, an entire planet getting destroyed qualified as "a disturbance in the force" not even something that specific, and that was an entire planet exploding! Very skilled users of the force, like Yoda, have only a few seconds of vague precog, as shown with Yoda surviving Order 66. And as far as we know it wasn't anything much more advanced than "They're going to try and kill me" and as shown with pretty much every other Jedi, said ability is rare. Now admittedly Vader is very likely one of those that is capable of doing such things. But it's not like information such as "This guy is going to try and attack me" would be very helpful. And that's about the level of accuracy that we see with that kind of force sensory. Again, in the mainline universe, since I'm not that familiar with the extended universe beyond that there are some ridiculous things that happen in it.

Honestly Vader had a building fall on him and he survived for days under rubble, also anyone here remember cylo? I know I’m. Making lots of comments atm but why isn’t there an imperial fleet guarding the Death Star and how come the satellite signals reach Batman because there’s no clear sign of earth and even if earth was near the empires smart enough to know its probably a good idea to destroy the satellites and how did Batman even land in the hanger bay? As seen in Revenge of the Sith the hanger bays have shields and can close and even if bats got in we obviously saw that Vader knew bats was there so why didn’t he order the hangar bay doors closed to prevent escape, honestly so many complaints that need to be made now that I think about it Batman probably would’ve been killed before he even got on the Death Star if the empire blockaded earth they would commence orbital bombardment which would prevent bats from even leaving the planet, honestly if your gonna do a death battle look at the facts first before you make what should have been a completely one sided fight.

I know this was years ago, but there are far more powerful creatures in the world of DC then darth Vader which Batman defeated . Darkseid for example , superman and so long. you are forgetting most important fact about bruce , He underestimates no one, you fight against batman is lost before it was even started and if there is other outcome that means batman will never attack.

Are we going to ignore the fact that Batman had a FUCKING LIGHTSABER!?!?! Because, there is no getting around that, Batman, fucking Batman. Had. A. Fucking. Lightsaber. Honestly, I had to pause the video at 6:02, because I almost had a heart attack. I want to have the image of Batman holding a blue lightsaber framed next to my painting of the Joker. That was some of the best imagery I've seen in my entire life. I know it was super obvious that Darth Vader was going to win, but to see that a lightsaber was one of the last tools Batman used was totally worth his loss. That was incredible. batinthesun probably broke the internet, as well as my brain, because of this video.

I mean, Superman couldn't touch Vader either. Vader has not just the Force, but the more powerful Dark Side of the Force. Vader could just hold Superman in place with the Force while he worked out how to finish him off. Batman wouldn't even get a chance to do anything. He would have a crushed windpipe instantaneously. Wouldn't be time for anyone to save him.

How would any of Batman's tactics work if he can't move because Vader immobilized him with the Force, or crushed his windpipe. He couldn't sneak up on Vader, so stealth doesn't help him. Batman's vehicles would all be vaporized by the Executor or Vaders Personal TIE. If we are going to include Legends canon, there's also the Sun Crusher. Vader could just destroy the sun, turn Superman into a powerless being who would die along with the rest of humanity. Vader has access to the armory and shipyards of the Galactic Empire. That is enough power to destroy life on earth completely, thousands of times over. Strike that one survivor, and only hope for Earth against the power Vader has himself and has access to. Dr. Manhattan. Pretty sure he can survive anything anyone throws at him. Not sure if there's a more indestructible character in comics or film.

TBH, I think it was proper in length. Bats is freaking annoying to all his enemies, in his IRON-WILLED tenacity, superior intelligence, combat experience far beyond nearly any other hero, and gadgets, gadgets, gadgets. The EM thing, and the saber-steal, helped him a lot, and both were logical, and therefore almost inevitable plot choices. Bats did not survive punchouts in an arena so utterly above his weight class, for all those decades, for no reason. He is damned good. OFC, Vader has the equivalent of "Spidey Sense" on steroids, saber experience (NOT the same as sword combat, tho similar), TK, TK, and more TK, armor that has survived a saber hit. . . Force Lighting is not possible for him (lacking real hands was the issue), but he has a lot going for him. Just not enough to drop BAts immediately, if Bats has a plan, which he always does.

Goku's powers are limited and he grows stronger by pushing his limits, whereas Superman has no limits, and if he goes directly into the sun, not even the Gods would stand a chance against him. It really wouldn't be fair if they left that part of Superman out just to give Goku an edge. There was nothing wring with the video's statistics, you just wanted Goku to win.
