In the Injustice Comic series, Batman faces Superman without Kryptonite, a rarity. This occurs after Batman seeks revenge for Alfred's death, attacking Zsasz. Damian, aligned with Superman's kill-first philosophy, intervenes. A battle ensues between Batman and Damian, leading to Superman's arrival. They debate killing, but Superman throws Batman aside. Batman ingests a pill, granting him a power boost. He then fights Superman on par, a first. Their brawl is interrupted by allies, leading to more chaos. Flash rescues Batman, reevaluating his stance on killing. Batman is saved from the League's wrath, showcasing unique dynamics and character development.

Flash was one of my favorite character in Injustice next to Alfred. He's split between siding with the dictator that was his friend and his other friend that wants to overthrow him. Earlier on (I think in Year One) him and Superman's boys go to Australia to quell a protest and Flash accidentally paralyzes a guy who was one of his biggest fans. Flash then helps him with physical therapy. He's just a guy who doesn't want to see his friends fight each other.

Given the context of the fight, both Batman and Superman were just evening the odds. Batman didn't want to kill Superman and Superman knew that, so while Batman didn't go all out by exploiting Superman's weaknesses and simply made himself stronger. Superman returned the favor by only using his strength and not his full range of powers he could have used to kill Batman in an instant. Even while they are at war with each other, the two of them still fight each other with respect after knowing each other for so long. Some people may call it lazy writing, but keep in mind that Batman not only learned but mastered almost every single practical form of Martial Arts in the world, including some fictional ones that don't exist in real life. Meanwhile, Superman at best only ever read books about such things and never really actually mastered any form of hand to hand combat, instead choosing to rely on his generally unmatched power. Superman is also something of an intellect, but not to the same degree as Batman. As such, it makes perfect sense that on a level playing field Batman would win such a fight.

Its only wank that batman won. Most iterations of superman are depicted as brawlers and not as smart as batman. In the main continuity tho, he processes information on the attosecond, meaning he can read and understand/memorize concepts much faster than bruce realistically should be able to. He also can fight, using said brain power he studied two kyptonian martial arts for a very brief time, but because he is so smart he learned it in a fractions time. batman is a better detective due to it being a profession reliant on expertise and experience. But when it comes to just learning things, superman should be much much smarter than batman.

Speedsters in general almost always get heavily nerfed by writers because it's one of the most overpowered abilities otherwise. There's a scene in The Boys (The live action show) in which a speedster is deliberately threatening a main character with his ability to kill him at any moment through lethal injection faster than he could ever react to. It's a scene that understands exactly why hero speedsters need to be nerfed constantly for them to work in the story. Otherwise they could solve all the problems before anyone even knew what happened and there'd be no story left to tell. The only enemies that can really stand any kind of a chance against an un-nerfed speedster are other speedsters. Anyone else could be killed or knocked out before they could even blink. Even something like super durability isn't enough because the speedster can just use their speed to find a solution quickly, such as finding a particular vulnerable weak point or using something else in the area to their advantage.

Look, Superman being a dictator in the Injustice comic was completely in the wrong. But that doesn't make Batman in the right. The fact that he wouldn't kill Zsasz is stupid. That's why I just can't be on Batman's side. While I do agree that Superman went way too far, Batman doesn't do enough to protect innocent people. He constantly lets the villains live which ends up hurting and killing innocent civilians in the long run. That's why I'm on Red Hood's side, especially in his ending in Injustice 2. He's in the middle ground. He doesn't like Superman's dictatorship but also doesn't agree with Batman's no-kill rule.

Well... To be fair, Superman was the one who released Zsasz and had him kill Alfred just to prove the "he's too dangerous to be left alive" argument. Batman of course suspected it was Superman. And if he could get Zsasz to confess, then Clark and his regime would be done. At least in terms of legitimacy, because Superman by that point literally tasked a known and dangerous serial killer to murder Batman's closest family just to get him to kill. If Batman had been successful in exposing Superman's actions, then it would be game over publicly for the regime.

@@Sickle2z2 honestly the biggest point people neglect, batman is a vigulanty not an executioner. while i do agree there's some cases where they take batmans cool headedness to near sociopathic levels (like not killing joker after he murdered his son, perfectly mirrored by the batman beyond movie having him go for a straight up kill shot at the torture reveal), injustice at least puts fourth an argument as to why batmans ideology is justifyable. not correct again if joker died decades ago he wouldn't have lived long enough to jump start supes blood lust, but it does show how a weak willed individual could become a monster after such an act. in this case though do agree with the op somewhat, he should have been in kill mode, see the injustice luege and then think it was a set up directing his anger at them, i say somewhat cause that seems to be what happened here just quite a bit muted and without the accusations that he was released on purpose when they'd otherwise just murder a criminal like him.

TDKR Batman sometimes makes appearances in anniversary comics but i wouldn’t count those as continuations. I think that's the unique thing about Batman. He's the only ordinary person in the Justice League yet he is the most respected by his colleagues and is feared by villains. The reason for this is bc Batman is is almost a genius and is always full of secrets and surprises. No one knows what he's thinking or what secrets he hides. Not to mention he's always 10 steps ahead of everyone. Believe it or not, him not having powers is his actually his greatest strength. I have a lot of issues with DC as a whole but one of the problems is that so many writers gave Superman too many powers so everyone now applies tha logic to every Superman iteration. Another is the writers making Batman do things no one agrees with like his no killing rule which I personally don't mind since it is NOT Batman's job to kill villains but then the writers have Batman intentionally leaving Superman to be killed by some villain oe something because "Batman is paranoid abourvhis power" or something. I miss the versions of Batman from Brave and the Bold and DC Justice League because there he felt like a human being with his morals that he didn't push onto others all the time or just come off as asshole behavior. Back to Superman, the writers made him to strong so making him lose to a (damn near super) human with gadgets feels like a cop out. I will also say that I was completely okay with Superman killing the Joker, everything afterwards on the other hand was way over the line. I also prefer stories where Batman and Superman are like brothers rather than at each others throats

i despise how dc is always trying to make superman be evil. injustice literally did his entire character injustice. superman is supposed to be the good guy. a hero. hes supposed to represent the fact that just because someone has the power to destroy the world doesnt mean they will. dc turned it completely around and turned what was supposed to be proof that superman was a good guy (the fact that he had so much power but still did good with it) and turned him into a monster

If batman and Superman were the same strength, Superman would be absolute toast. All Batman normally has is his fighting skills. Superman has never really needed to learn to fight, not like Batman.
