Injustice is an animated movie loosely based on the Injustice: Gods Among Us prequel comic and video game. The story features a version of Superman who becomes more like a dictator after the death of Lois Lane. It serves as DC Comics' equivalent to Marvel's Civil War, with Justice League members at odds with one another. Batman leads the resistance to fight Superman, alongside characters like Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, and Black Canary, to name a few. Meanwhile, Superman’s regime includes Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Green Lantern, Shazam, Raven, and many others. Some aspects of Injustice can be seen in Zack Snyder’s DCEU; for example, BvS and Justice League laid the groundwork for Superman to be corrupted by Darkseid. The movie adaptation suffers from too much of the actual story being left on the cutting room floor, resulting in awkward pacing and rushed storylines within its 1-hour and 18-minute runtime.

man I'll always love the fact that The Negotiator was the voice of Green Lantern..... but anyways I read the comic and it is a mixed bag but most of that comes from the fact that the first 3 to 4 yr comic's were really good then about the end of yr 4, the end of that comic i'm saying, going on to yrs 5 and 6 was STRAIGHT GARBAGE... the writers of that story just did not know how to wrap it up and just kept making things more convoluted and retarded till it became one big mess with a shit ending... disappointing actually cuz like I said the first 4 issues were so good...

*Hot Take:* I actually don't mind this movie too much as it is clearly a bad adaptation of the Injustice comics and the way they kill off the Flash was downright stupid; however, I have never been a big fan of the Injustice comics since so many characters were mischaracterised so badly to the point that they hardly felt like the characters at all. One thing I will say about this movie is that I think Superman's progression into becoming a dictator feels more natural in this movie. I appreciate that other characters genuinely feel in character as the escalation of the premise doesn't need to be taken too far, even in the original comic thee way that things escalate truly felt bizarre, unnatural and incoherent to hw some character would approach a situation like this. For example, I much prefer Wonder Woman in this take on Injustice more than her in the Injustice comics or games because even if she motivates Superman in the wrong direction, it is still so that they can make things better by eliminating threats quickly and easily, and at the end of the movie she sees the ear of her ways realising how much shes pushed Superman too far, whereas in the comics she so downbad for SUperman that she becomes downright evil and lacks any sense of nuance to her. I just feel like they handled the concept of the story premise with more logic and rationality rather than continuously choosing to escalate the conflict more and more to the point that these characters barely feel like themselves anymore, even of some of it really doesn't work

"You should trust the guardians" They're on par at being war criminals as much as Superman in this verse. I found the only saving graces of this flick is Plastic Man who is delightful and charming and Mr. Terrific who is brilliant and uses his wit to prove Superman's view in an instant to be a bunk. This verse is so poorly handled. First off it reinforces the idea that without Lois then Clark will just turn on humanity. Second it allows Harley to get off scot free from her involvement which is a remarkably common trope with her. Third, there are plenty of characters who can body Superman if he went rogue, Captain Atom is as powerful if not more so, Firestorm who is actively in the game could body Superman with his atomic abilities and Doctor Fate is an insanely powerful sorcerer who is also in the games. Its funny the games have the Flash in there and no one ever just says "Go back in time to stop Joker." because the game devs want Flash in the game as playable. So you just have to shut off your brain for that but then the movie tries to correct that and instead it makes Flash look like a dipstick. The Injustice verse isn't even a form of wasted potential its just a Brand X Knockoff of Justice Lords and Kingdom Come. Why they never just made the plot Earth 3 invading Earth 1 is anyone's guess. You'd still get the evil version of heroes, you could have even just done the Earth 3 vs. Earth one plot but subbed the likes of Ultraman, Superwoman and Owlman with the Justice Lords if you really need specifically an evil Superman. Though going with Earth 3 would be smarter because you can technically have double the characters by swapping costumes. Sure its a cop out but that is NetherRealm's go to.

So then he goes back and that changes the new 52 but then he does it again and you get the Tomorrowverse. It NEVER should have been introduced Flash can do anything like this. Even then the story only wants to indulge in Evil Superman vs Batman because they like the underdog style of story. Because Superman is this "big bad god" and Batman is a "mere mortal" standing up against unstoppable odds. Except that Batman wins often a and is always prepared not remotely making him an underdog. If anything the Injustice Universe proves further that its a weak story because Batman has defeated Superman before in other situations and now all of a sudden this is the ONE where he isn't able to get the job done.

What I liked about the Injustice comics is that it's a great reminder of how HUGE the DC Universe is. Like I was thinking to myself "If Superman turned evil, of course all the Green Lanterns would get involved, they wouldn't want him affecting the universe. Of course Darkseid and Trigon would get involved, it'd be a great chance to take over the Earth. The Titans would try to stop him (they got captured but still the thought counts), Batman would try to stop him, the magic users would try to stop him..." This movie makes the universe look small and full of dumb.

Green Latern Hal Jordan in this movie got screw up, Superman removes his ring and never gets to see him again in the rest of the Injustice movie, and The Flash got the worst death possible being way to slow avoiding a Joker death trap (This Injustice movie should been a animated series, because this movie is very rushed)

I'm genuinely happy and satisfied that this movie turned out to be trash. This should finally put the nail in the coffin and bury that hoe 1000 feet deep... Almost everybody is tired of the edgy cynical cliché universe that is Injustice. It's about that time DC comes back to its more bright heroic wholesome roots that is the Pre Crisis and Post Crisis eras. Every project from now on should have that vibe.

Both Tomorrowverse and Injusticeverse failed miserably and they're the reason why DC Animation done fell off... The last peak DC Animation was when DCMAU still going which was like 2019 and those were the last good adaptations everything went downhill afterwards I'm talking viewership $ sales, critique scores and audience scores. You're prolly a casual yourself and do not fuck with the comics like that or else you would have known how great and successful was the Post Crisis era was, how every movie adapted by it was a straight BANGER, movies like: •Batman & Superman Public Enemies •Batman Under the Red Hood •Green Lantern First Flight Etc... and you'd also know why most DC fans are asking for it to come back right now. There is a big reason why WB hired James Gunn. He's going to bring that era back he even got the Post Crisis Logo back like what are even talking about 😂

Bro made a Superman gets too much hate video and then brought in a Superman hater. Even if we put aside the characters acting weird because it's else world, I will forever hate it because it started and popularized the Harley Quinn redemption trend which is going on till now. Completely ignoring all the horrible things she did (a lot of them even when Joker was not present like bombing kids). Even in Injustice she not only helped Joker with Lois plan but also helped him nuke a city. Why the heck was Joker handed to Batman anyway ? This isn't a local Gotham incident under Gordon. Where tf is Homeland Security and FBI. Both Joker and Harley would be on FBI's most wanted and Batman should even be allowed to do his BS lock him in Arkham again. Not that it matters because Superman will kill Joker, not like the FBI do anything about that. The fact that Harley goes free and becomes a hero is just madness.

The only change I really liked in the movie is that not every hero just sided with Superman. And I did like the idea of Lois from a different universe talking some sense into Superman, which just begs the question why didn't Batman do this in the comics or the game? Injustice story was never perfect to begin with and this movie didn't help it.
