Since you guys were wondering all the time about why Batman looks like he does, one of the best things that DC animation used to do is that they would try to recreate the art style of the comics they were based on and in this case the art style was based on David Mazzucchelli’s iconic art on Batman Year One.

Lucius doesn’t invent Batman’s gear. Unlike how they depict him in the Nolan movies. Lucius helps run the company and secretly helps mass produce parts that Bruce invented so he can keep his gear stocked. Over time some of the Wayne Tech R&D scientist will be aware they are helping Batman and will develop weapons like the Batman beyond armor, but for the most part Bruce invents and builds everything he uses. He’s not on par with Tony Stark, but he is still a genius. Stark is a one trick pony while Bruce is a jack of all trades. He isn’t the best at any one thing except maybe detective work, but his genius level intellect combined with all of his skills across multiple disciplines make him a major player in DC. He’s also really good at adapting technology to suit his needs. He gets a major “power” boost after the league forms, because he gets access to technology from multiple alien worlds.

Bryan Cranston does a great job in the role as Jim Gordon (hed be a great live action Jim Gordon too). No one is wrong in saying that in the slightest AT ALL. The Batman OBVIOUSLY pulls more influence from The Long Halloween AND Batman Year One as Matt Reeves said the 3 main comics that he influenced his film are The Long Halloween, Batman: Ego, and Batman Year One. This is all FACTS here because there's literally a batman comic box set of those 3 comics being sold together (that I wished I had right now due to having box art from Jim Lee himself for the film) that advertistes all 3 comics of being the main comics that helped influence the movie.

@Gadget-Walkmen3 ай бұрын
@@harshk9342 Lol Just no, you couldn’t be anymore wrong here in every single way. The Dark Knight NOR Batman Begins was NOT trying to be a “better adaption” of The Long Halloween NOR Batman Year One in the slightest, The Dark Knight just pulls influence FROM those Batman comics to tell it’s OWN unique story from getting inspired by those comics. Literally ALL the live action Batman movies do this as not a single one is trying to tell the exact story from the comics. Just like how the Dark Knight Rises pulls influence from Batman Knightfall but it’s NOT trying to tell it’s tell that story but simply pull influence from it. And being closer to the comic doesn’t make the movie better, it’s about telling a MUCH more unique and compelling story IN those movies because those movies aren’t adapting the comics 1 for 1, they just take influence from them to tell their own unique narrative, ALL the live action Batman movies do this. And The Batman movie in 2022 did this THE BEST by telling its own uniquely crafted narrative. You have absolutely NO idea on what you’re saying OR what you’re talking about as every comment you say makes yourself look worse and worse here. Robert Pattinson Batman IS the most comic accurate Batman and that IS true by really emphasizing his trauma and his character from how it’s portrayed in Batman: Mask of the Phantasm but having it portrayed in live action. Baleman did NOT “had More in common with comics Batman than Battinson” lol that’s not true and you completely don’t understand what the movie is about at all. Christian Bale’s Batman WAS a good depiction of the Batman and yeah his voice was notoriously bad, especially in the dark knight and rises, but it was a good Batman. But Robert Pattinson AS Batman truly showcases one of the BEST portrayal of Batman in live action from his phenomenal performance and the masterful writing to the character to truly showcase and depict WHAT Batman is at his core. He LEARNS how to be better Bruce Wayne AND Batman at the end of this movie, as this was the whole point OF the movie. Bruce's Trauma has deeply effected his entire life and well being. It's not about trying to portray a "play boy bachelor" at all, it's about showing a gloomy individual whose DEEPLY traumatized from his parent's death that he can't think or do anything else and I LOVE the way how it's done as Bruce can't be batman without his trauma but this still it's consumed his life so much that he's never moved past his parent's passing to have his own life. Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne looks like he's never had a girlfriend, much less slept with another girl, and DESPERATELY needs to leave his house and touch some grass and it's PERFECT! It's COMPLETELY perfect because Batman IS Bruce's trauma, and this movie had to showcase that he's so obsessed with being batman that he forget how to be himself and a proper human being. It's no different from Batman: Year One or Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman IS the Trauma that makes Batman, BATMAN. Batman's story will ALWAYS be a tragedy at heart as he can never be fully happy to be Batman. But the point of this movie is showcase how Bruce can LEARN how to grow from that with his interactions with Selina so he can be a human again and learn HOW to be a better Batman for the people of Gotham by not being so full of rage but by being an inspiration of hope and love! There is no “Battinson stans ” AT ALL, you just don’t know what you’re talking about because you’re too obsessed with the dark knight movie, which is a fantastic movie, but Pattinson as Batman far outclasses that movie AS the Batman in his portrayal of the character.

Now you need to watch the “DC Showcase: Catwoman” which is a tag onto this film. So many reactors skip the showcase shorts, and it’s a damn shame.

It’s probably because the beginning is just too damn sexy! Don’t get mad at me for saying it that’s what they were going for and they succeeded😂

True. Those showcase shorts are better than some full-lengths movies. Just earlier today I was thinking about the showcase short on the character Death from Sandman. And the one of Spectre is a favorite of mine too.

This was a really solid movie. Under The Red Hood is still the best, but this is up top 5 or 10 DC animation.

the crazy thing that most people don't know is that Jim's son grows up to be a serial killer.

I recommend watching Batman: A Long Halloween Part 1 & 2 or Batman: The Dark Knight returns Part 1 & 2= this one is sad but way better than the live action of Batman vs Superman film.

Though "long Halloween" works as a standalone, it's part of the bigger animated universe series.

You guys know when he was down there getting shot at and he ended up throwing One of the guys through brick wall that was the same guy that shot at the cat the first time he even said so in the comic before he throws him through the wall he says you're the one who shot at the cat

5:42 There's a scene in The Batman that looks a lot like this scene.

The art-style was a straight adaptation of David Mazzucchelli's art style and design for the book, hence why Bruce/Batman (and everyone else) looked the way they do in this film. That's actually something I miss from the DC Animated Movie Universe these days, since they've committed to doing more shared universe stuff. Before, they actually would try to have different art direction and designs for each film. And if they were adapting a specific comic storyline, the art style would be influenced by the artist of that particular comic.
