I love how this game depicts her. What's also fascinating is that, in her office, there's evidence that she will soon turn into Harely Quinn. There's a theory that when Harely made her resignation letter, she was soon going to break the Joker out of prison, so batman probably witnessed the end of Harely's good side in this game.

@@Ppppatience Harley is so weird in the Arkham series as the OG Trilogy and even Suicide Squad depict her as an irremediably villain who's kinda dumb and completely helpless without Joker... and has her flirt with an under aged Poison Ivy (god Suicide Squad is bad). But in Arkham Origins and Arkham Shadow she's written in a more closely to how she's usually depicted, as an overall more tragic villain who is smart but is poorly treated by those around her. Shadow really emphasis this with her coming off as rather reasonable and the more competent psychologist compared to the corrupt and just outright evil Dr. Crane aka Scarecrow. What makes this even weird is that in the Rocksteady games the first two were written by her creator who's also written her as a more sympathetic character if still a villain and yet she's given none of her more complex characteristics that made her so popular to begin with. It's like Rocksteady hates Harley or something because they take every opportunity to insult of mistreat her and make her the one to kill Batman in Suicide Squad which they had to know was going to piss off fans. But here, she feels more like the character from the Animated Series, it's so weird.

@@PpppatienceThe theory about her breaking him out I would say is all but confirmed based on the stuff you can find in the game. You see in her office that she will soon be Harley Quinn, she makes remarks about wearing a mask so "everyone will know my name", Joker makes a comment about teaming up with her and he had already been trying to escape as well based on drawings on his cell wall

The Ventriloquist is one of favorite underrated Batman's Villain and I'd wish if he was use more in media outside of the comics, mostly I want him to see him on the big screen in a live-action Batman film, I don't think he'd be the main antagonist of the film but probably mostly the secondary antagonist, he could appear in either Gunn's DCU or Reeves's BatmanVerse.

I've always wanted scarface to be in the live action movie. I know why they don't wanna use him because a puppet is hard to sell as "real" to a general audience but idc. Batman had some wacky rouges use them

If this game wasn't VR exclusive I know they would've done some sort of DLC here where Batman would track down Arnold who've fully took up The Ventriloquist role with Woody becoming Scarface, that'd have rock cause Arnold is a highly underuse character outside of the comics in media (except for TAS) and it would be great if he gotten the spotlight.

That's how Scarface is. A number of stories make it unclear if Ventriloquist is supplying the voice to the puppet or if the puppet actually is alive on its own.

This is the first time we see Wesker and a prototype Scarface in the Arkham series, and I love it. The one we see in Telltale Batman is nice with the sock puppet and his big brother attitude towards anyone invading Wesker's privacy, but I prefer the more comic accurate iteration.

Any chance of a Kevin Conroy tribute? Nov 10th marked 2nd anniversary of his death. He was the best voice of Batman and made the Animated Series into a classic. I made a tribute to him using the classic 90's toys with footage from Burton, Nolan, Arkham and Injustice but I don't got ur reach, and he deserves much bigger tribute.
