I consider Troy Baker the best voice actor for gaming. Obviously love everyone in the Arkham series especially Conroy and Hamil as they are Batman and joker no one better. But Bakers range is so amazing when you look at all his work(Joel from last of us,Joker,Pagan Min). No 2 characters of his sound the same. But all have this amazing energy. With his Joker he is just brilliant in both games. And closest to match Hamil which no one will ever do. But Barker is a very decent second voice for the character.

He also wasn't the main antagonist of Arkham Origins Blackgate (the 2D game), which Arkham Shadow confirms is still canon with Bronze Tiger being in the game and the various audio flashbacks. Joker is in the game, but the main antagonist of Origins Blackgate is either Catwoman or Amanda Waller (arguably both) and Joker is just a supporting character in that story. So, this is the second time Joker wasn't the main villain.

Have to admit, Baker has really improved on his joker. At times, it's like the classic TAS's posh yet bouncy speech pattern. His laugh sounds actually pretty unique now, loud and theatrical yet now with some gravel. It's his own, not just a one-for-one imitation of Hamill. Heck, one laugh reminded me more of Tim Curry than Hamill. It's nice to see him coming into his own.

Because realistically (I know this is comic book stuff), villains would be locked away for weeks or even months at a time instead of a weekly occurrence.

@@Samuel152 Actually that raises an interesting point, from what we have gotten there has only been 2 successful full scale prison breaks throughout the series. Here in Arkham Shadow and in Arkham Origins. The other attempts ended with Batman stopping the inmates from escaping and in Origins case he quickly recaptured the prisoners. This makes continuity the most overall successful Gotham because the prisons do what they are suppose to do, keep the prisoners in the prison. Oh sure there have been a number of riots but most those only end with a few people getting out. I hadn't noticed this until now, thanks.

What this game confirms is that deep down Joker and Two-Face always knew who Batman truly was, even from the beginning

The real Harvey knew who Batman was, but Two-Face (aka "Big Bad Harv"), who became the dominant persona after the events of Shadow, wouldn't have had any clue prior to the events of Knight. Joker, on the other hand, most likely was 100% fully aware that Batman was Bruce Wayne but simply didn't care and actively chose not to do anything with that information, presumably to "not spoil the fun". If Joker can instantly identify Batman through a disguise as convincing as Matches, then I guarantee the first time Joker saw Bruce Wayne on the news he would've known, and Bruce Wayne is basically a celebrity in Gotham so Joker would know what Bruce sounds like easily.

Love that they fixed the timeline error in Origins with Harley and Joker, that they finally showed how Joker is actually extremely smart since it seems he’s had the events of Arkham Asylum planned out for a long time, and he was just playing the waiting game, and the implication he knows that Batman is Bruce Wayne, but he just doesn’t care, since for those who don’t know Joker only cares about the Mythos of Batman, not Bruce Wayne, he couldn’t give less of a shit about Bruce Wayne and his family even if he tried, he only cares about the Bat-family, because he knows that’s who they truly are, and he also knows it will hurt Batman more for something to happen to a member of his family during his patrol rather then when he’s keeping up his billionaire facade
