Kia ora Chris! Sash from New Zealand here... absolutley love this piece to pieces. Superman IS my favourite character and I'll tell you why. When I was a young boy I saw Superman II at the movies - the first movie I remember seeing as a kid - and it changed my world. So much so that I wanted to be involved in making movies. I'm now an actor, screenwriter and director, so Superman has a lot of meaning for me. Christopher Reeve in that suit... man... it doesn't get any more iconic. Except it does... because this is probably the most iconic Superman statue out there. Thanks for your review man, really appreciate you and the relationships you've established with the statue collecting community. I've joined you group on FB and have already seen the benefits of the group.

It arrived today. This is my first ever statue from Sideshow and yes, it is exactly what you say it is. I don't have any issues with it thus far, but this is a really impressive piece and it spoke to me as well. It's so unique and yes, a very iconic depiction of Superman. I give it a 10/10. Expensive too, I struggled to get this and canceled this order about three times, until I said "No, I'm getting this statue." I'm so thankful to have it.

Absolutely love the intro Chris!!!.... hilarious!! Sometimes SS really mess up their pieces and sometimes they produce knockouts..... this is a knockout.. really embodies the character well. This would pair well with the previous SS piece with the Brianiac base to show his complete transformation from start to finish. Congrats to anyone picking this up

Yes! Oh man I can't wait to get mine! There's so much depth in his muscularity and it's exactly how I envision Superman. It'll be my first statue and in my opinion is the quintessential Supes. Everyone other one tends to be angry or incredibly stern, which has it's place of course, but it's a nice change of pace. Also, love the fabric portions which seems to fit perfectly! Anyway, congrats!

Great vid/review. I love your channel. It's right up my alley. Cut and sew is not that bad to maintain--the Joker OG behind you holds up real real well. I also love how the tie and suit are complimenting his call to action. You can truly see how much work must have been thrown at this. It's also in the middle where I don't know what to call this...is it a Clark Kent or Superman statue? Who does it lean more towards? Boy, I love a piece that can make us think outside the box like this!

it is a great statue. I have ordered mine. But my one concern will be the white clothing on his shirt. I have collected 1/6 figures which has white clothing material like the Hot Toys Jor-El from the 1978 superman. Over time, the white color will turn yellowish. I have displayed it briefly before putting it into the box. After a long time, I finally took it out of the box again and the it has turned yellowish. Same for my other figure minami kotaro from medicom. I foresee this will happen to this figure as well.

It’s an incredible looking piece and I’m considering getting it. I was hoping that Sideshow would come out with a beaten down and very tattered but still in the fight looking Superman statue to go with the SS Doomsday statue that came out a few years ago. I think with the release of the P1 Superman vs Doomsday diorama it would be a wise move for SS to make a Superman to go with their Doomsday piece.
