I've been caught in the middle of these 'events' twice, while just driving. Once on Lakeshore (when they first started) and another right before Christmas on Queen Street (downtown). The first time, no one really knew what was happening...until this mob started filing in between the cars, banging on the roof and hoods of the vehicles. On that one, I just kept my windows up and didn't say a word. The second time, I was not as compliant. Actually no one was...the only people that seemed to be in submission were the cops on the scene. Pathetic. I couldn't care less if people want to protest, no matter what the issue is...however, when you start touching my property and limit my movement around the city, I'm not going to just sit there. The second time was brutal...banging on cars, draping flags across people's windshields...etc etc etc...cops did NOTHING.So...I suggest people start frequenting this store and stock up on what you will need to fight off an attack of your person or your property. I went there after that second time and I can tell you that I will never allow that to happen again. They circled a woman just walking down the street, I was called a zionist on multiple occasions...I assume because I'm white. Absolute nonsense...anyway....go here...stock up and get ready to defend yourselves...the cops sure won't protect you. I remember not so long ago the whole hospital block, University ave and Bay st. being blocked off due to the possibility of a trucker protest. Cops everywhere, resources wasted, total overkill for nothing. I'd feel MUCH safer walking through the trucker convoy than these unhinged terrorist supporters. It's very intimidating when these mobsters take over the sidewalk, or any public space, and won't let people who live downtown pass.

Unbelievable! Just when I thought i'd seen it all. Now we have a Police Force who is a) Afraid to enforce the law or b) has been told by their superiors to stand down. If I was the PM I would be on the phone to the Chief of Police demanding an answer as to why no action or arrests were made and if his answer was unsatisfactory I would see to it that he was fired. It is the job of the Police to uphold the law 24/7, not just when they feel like it!

we loved the truckers, here in NZ, they inspired the world protesting in the snow, so nice, so chilled out and friendly yet still having their say, they were amazing, they were everything we love about Canadians here, so uplifting at a tough time for all people everywhere. these new protestors are the exact opposite, nasty spiteful and uneducated, Shame on them and police need to get on top of these clowns, they are a disgrace

The right to protest should be specifically Canadian only issues. Protesting issues that dont concern the country specifically shouldn't be allowed. This protest is about funding to Israel but canada doesnt fund Israel, so these Protests are disrupting the peace of Canadians for nothing that has to do with canada.

The emergencies act was proven in court to be the wrong thing to do . This latest ruling was about your right to protest and nothing to do with the reason for the protest . You can't have it both ways . Now we will have all kinds of protests for any reason and you can't shut it down . A thousand people can show up in front of your house and protest for 6 months that the sky isn't blue enough .
