His obvious actions have now put huge targets on the backs of every police officer in Canada. And he should be sued for 2 million CDN dollars and be banned from ever holding any position in law enforcement, security companies throughout Canada. And 2 years in jail . Is that a bit harsh ? Just so we are clear about our rights and freedoms here in Canada. The CCRF was drafted to fall in line with the UDHRF. All agents of the government are under obligation and duty to respect and protect all of the rights and freedoms expressed and enshrined in these constitutions. Freedom of the Press is for all humans to engage in. We don't need credentials or to own a press company in order to exercise this right. CBC really needs to read up on these constitutions in order to understand their roles. The RCMP along with all other policing agencies in Canada really don't understand this foundational truth and have been arresting and terrorizing people here in Canada for simply engaging in their rights and freedoms. Public photography is being criminalized by agents in government in order to suppress the truth which puts them in breach and dishonor of their obligations and duties to all of us. I myself have had constables and CROWN attorneys attack me for engaging in my rights and freedoms. Asking common sense questions seems to be a problem these days. This nonsense needs to stop and you guys that are part of the Legacy media really need to wake up.

It is truly disgusting, and quite chilling actually that this panel is trying to make excuses for how this might be okay vs. overtly and decisively calling it out and expressing outrage.

This was intentional. The endgame is to ensure that dissent is squashed. The emergency act and freezing of bank accounts were also implemented to send a message. We are quickly losing our freedoms by a thousand cuts.

I wouldn't call them making excuses, they are working through the reality of the situation, making analysis, putting things in context politically, and addressing the point of view of the police security detail given the job to protect the leaders of our country in the public. Therefore...given those real factors...as opposed to idealistic views of how society should function....the police made a decision to keep a close eye on this individual, and then chose to stop him in his tracks given that he was showing the "same" characteristics he has shown before...which have resulted in detention..arrest etc. I think in turn..you are making excuses for your point of view...when it doesn't fit perfectly...idealist.

Tomorrow they will ask "was the Holocaust unjustified?" and bring in a mix of Jews, skinheads and Muslims to discuss the issue. You would think some questions don't even need to be discussed. But the CBC likes to delve into faux nuance.

Officer obviously blindside blocks reporter questioning politician. Reporter arrested for assault. Very carefully worded statements about the context and complexity of this situation and unable or unwilling to state the obvious by media “panelists “. Mission accomplished.

@@mattnbin you haven't noticed 'people' slurring and demonizing MSM for years now? It's part of the wave of anti-democratic disruption applied to the West in increasing fashion every time an election comes up. It's the puerile attempt at upsetting the perceived world balance into the favor of those who wish to regress into barbaric expansion into neighbouring lands while distracting those who might try to stop them. Little men, old games pitting opponents. so slow and obvious.

Sadly there are no more elections. It truly is all for effect, to give the Appearance there is "Democracy". Do you truly believe Trudeau won his last election? Not me. And I know Trump won his in 2020 and so did Bolsonaro & Le Pen after that. Fact is the WEF are well and truly in control of our Elections and have the pawns in power to back it up. As Klaus Schwab bragged..."In Canada our people have penetrated the Cabinet..." - that is is direct quote. We should pay attention to what these very Powerful people tell us they are doing - in their own words. Anyone care to Google it if you don't believe it.
