Battery and Types of batteries Explained.

Batteries :
(1) Lead acid :
It is used as Automotive battery which gives enough power for an electric vehicle but not the range.
It is also used as Inverter for the storage purpose. so it can not give much power to the electric vehicle but surely can give more battery backup.
Lead-acid batteries aren't expensive but takes 8-10 hrs for charging.
These batteries are not light weight so they're obviously going to increase the vehicle weight also.
They have 400 to 600 charging cycles.
(2)Lithium Ion :
Lithium Ion batteries are compact in size.
They have better energy density.
They have more charging cycles than Lead acid batteries.
4-6 hrs of charging time.
Lithium Ion batteries can blast on high temperature.
(3) Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LiFePO4) :
They do not blast. Can catch a fire but will not blast.
They have 3000 charging cycles.
Incredible 4 to 5 years of battery life.
24V, 36V, 48V are the variants.

LFP batteries in india is still under very initial stage . It has got some inherent problems . Still compaines are not using LFP and are continuing with NMC batteries. It requires seperate SOC unit . The existing display will not be compatible to display the SOC. Also the behaviour of LFP batteries is very erratic. I do not reccommend LFP in india atleast for the next 2 years.

CGI Visualization Voltage? Cost of 10 Whr power is 90 rupees in lithium ion cell. Assuming your average speed is 60 km/hr at 3KW motor power consumption. It turns out around 54000. If your bike is running @80 km/hr at 3 KW , it comes around 40000. It depends on total weight of rider plus vehicle. It cant be answered correctly without assumptions of power consumption and speed.

CGI Visualization It should vary between 80-120k , depends mainly on battery you choose , like LG , Panasonic or Samsung or some Chinese brand. I would rather suggest to go for Ather 340 or 450 , you will be much more satisfied. Your desire of 120 km range battery to be fitted where engine can’t e fulfilled . Battery size will be more than that. Ather will give you around 60km range with properly engineered product. You will have a very hard time to get hold of lithium ion cells of LG or reputed brand. Very very tough right now in India. Worlds best cells are teslas cells which are manufactured by Panasonic. Energy density is main factor wrt size and safety.
