Thank you G Bear. I am looking forward to my 12v fridge freezer coming this month. It will be the end of my 240v fridge freezer.

Thank you Jason. I have been putting a lot of time into this Solar system at the minute. So not had time to do my leather work. Hope you are keeping well my friend.

Like the precharge circuit you've added in. I saw a vid that said this was only necessary for 2000w and higher, but I got the same resistor (25W, 30 Ohms) but think I made an arse when connecting mine (1000W)up, wasn't sure if the inverter was meant to be switched on or off so left it on as assumed the circuits all needed to be open, anyway after 10 secs removed the resistor and went to connect the cable and the bloody thing still sparked....No damage luckily!

I've added to my 200ah 12v/1000w inverter system a 40A Renogy SCC and BT1 module, and planning to get 2 of the 220W Bifacial panels from them to set up on a moveable ground frame with some reflective panels behind so I can work out if a full solar system is even viable (I seriously doubt this). No time like the present to get it up and running for the winter solstice to see how bad it will be lol. I also bit the bullet and bought a "P1PE" P2500i 2.2Kw inverter generator this week with some 10L fuel cans and fuel additive. Can cycle the petrol as also use a chainsaw/strimmer/leaf blower in the garden. Idea being if needs be the genny can be used to run some stuff like washing machine etc and charge the batteries through the day if we get any significant outages. Part of me wishes I'd gone 24V now for the solar aspect, but then with 12V I can transpose most of this to a van if I wanted to further down the line...

Hi Bazza. Thank you for your comment. The inverter needs to be switched off to charge the capacitors. I fitted a battery isolator switch. Then did all the wiring. Tripped the circuit breaker fuse reset i have fitted to my inverter. Then i turned the battery isolator switch on. Charge the capacitors for 10 secs with the resistor. Then reset the circuit breaker and turned my inverter on worked great. Great news no damage to your inverter.
