At least you don't have to remove the engine to get to the battery. I like the humor of the kawasaki engineers.

Tried this morning. Spent over an hour and failed. Lost screws inside the compartment. What a massive PAIN in the ARSE! Thank you for the video.

THis is undoubtedly on of the worst thought experience in this motorcycle. THe first time I did this it took me a complete afternoon, just because I kept loosing screws into the battery compartment, and having to get it all out over and over again :D... Now I think I know all the necessary tricks to do it propperly. ;) Many thxs for the video!

Looks a bit of a faff but, as all the other 'servicing' jobs on the W650 and W800 look pretty straight forward it's something that I could live with. Nice video. I'm going to watch some others that you've made.

I'm glad I watched this to learn how it's done! I have this same motorcycle and wondered if you kept the original front fork springs? I find the front suspension very soft and bouncy. Should I change them or learn to work with it?
