When I look any cricketer I closely observe their grip , each one has their own style ., whats suits them is important .Look at Gream Smith , the great Brian Lara .,look at Faf .., they don’t have textbook grips but they are still legends of the game . I believe grip has to come natural to a player , yes you can make some minor tweaks.

When I am batting and try to play straight even if I middle it with correct arm path it goes to cover and I changed my grip but have not been getting any runs in game with the new grip

This is good and has lots of basics that can be helpful but I would say there is no one single way to grip a bat. There are many popular cricketers with unique styles and it works for them. The way I see it is get the basics right and work from bottom up to tweak as needed.

Seems like advice coming from someone who doesn’t know how to bat. He doesn’t talk about the grip strength of top hand and bottom hand. The bottom hand should be light and the top hand should be instrumental in directing the shot.
