I like these videos. I always see something new. I can’t afford to subscribe to these monthly boxes. But it’s neat to see what they think is useful. I like little hatchets.. that one looks cool. I have a larger version of that inflatable lamp. It works well. We used it last year during the ice storm that kept us at home for eight days.

The Storm whistle is very loud, I carry one in my EDC . Pretty good stuff this time. RAT tourniquet is good for children and animals like a dog with small limbs. I think it's worth the price because many people cannot afford to take time to order all this stuff separately. A friend of mine has been wanting to make an emergency kit for many years but she works non-stop all day long. These kits are great for people who don't have the time to wait and don't have the knowledge to know what to put in an emergency kit

BP5s smell vanilla and taste a little like (slightly frosted)shredded wheat - inside the foil, there are separately wrapped bars - so it's easier to (Short term) store once open. and you can even break into tiny pieces and add water and make a "porridge"

the inflatable lantern is cool. Hang it with a Billy Band on a tree branch or tent. I like it. 🙂🙂

When you're backpacking or camping a triple A battery works for me. I do but like the red strobe on that light.

I don't have that inflatable light, but I have several other brands and I love them on Camping trips. Solar powered (can't beat that) and weigh as much as a pair of socks (take up less room then said socks). I take out about 3-4 on my camping trips and have plenty of light if there is no fire.

Maybe not the best, but a definite improvement over 83. I've been seeing these inflatable type lanterns around for a while. I'd like to hear more about it if you decide to take it out into the field.

A New vidéo with the morning coffee ❤️ About RATS tourniquet : they are not Co-TCCC recommended. I would not trust it to save me from bleeding. Also, they are prone to cause deep damage due to the lace. It's better than nothing but... Just stay with Co-TCCC approved devices !

I would try Nomadik or Cairn, although they are not "survival" they are still outdoors and I feel like they have given me unique items which I have enjoyed and integrated into my kits.

I am a bit disappointed in the trauma kit. It seems that some of its contents (nitrile gloves, shears, mouth shield) should already be in the accompanying FAK, while some trauma kit pieces are missing. I can see that the idea was to make it very compact, and that is probably why there is no thoracic shield. Folding it over several times is probably detrimental to its efficacy, and an NPA should only be carried by someone who has had certified instruction in its use. Surely, though, they could have included some Celox or Quick Clot instead of the gloves and shield. If you come upon someone with serious trauma, you would be wasting time and risking his life opening the package and extracting and donning the gloves before stopping the bleeding. So in this kit, I would keep the gloves out of the tiny baggie and as unfolded as possible or just add them to the accompanying FAK you will keep with this kit.
