My friend would always carry around multitools like the axe/bottle opener/hammer/saw thing, whereas I would have a small bag with a little saw, a real hammer, a pair of pliers, some common socket sizes and a ratchet, a box cutter and some electrical tape... he'd always be trying to use my shit if we were somewhere. I probably only spent a little more for some basic cheap tools and a bag than he did for his shitty gadgets that never worked when he needed them.
@BUSHCRAPPING7 жыл бұрын
the axe multitool thing was like a gear heads take on the classic trappers tool or fencing tool which have about 3-5 functions and are really handy usually a hammer, prybar/nailpuller, axe and something else i forget. if you do put a lot of country fences up or trap they are a good buy if not the dedicated tools are better

The serrations on the shovel aren't for sawing material, they're for helping to cut through roots when you're digging.
@deathbyastonishment79307 жыл бұрын
CJayC are roots material? Yes. Is it sharp enough to cut roots? No.
@cutlerylover7 жыл бұрын
either way its not cutting through anything it rubs against
@CJayC2537 жыл бұрын
It's not meant to saw through anything in the normal sense, with a regular sawing notion. It's mean to handle the small roots (NOT tree roots) in the dirt while you're digging. Just like a Lesche digging tool.
@CJayC2537 жыл бұрын
Check out the digging tools by Lesche. They're too have serrations, but like in this case, the're used while digging, rather than actually sawing anything.

those lock blockers look like cheap "hotel keys". basically you stick the bottom half into the keyway and the hook on the end catches on the pins so it can't be removed and you can no longer fit a key in to unlock it. you use the top half to push the pins out of the way when you want to remove it. they used to be used by traveling salesmen to keep hotel maids from coming in and stealing they're merchandise.

Not only was the axe not sharp. There's no way you would be able to use the meter wrench part to turn the water on or off inside the tight confines of most meter boxes(Unless you use the camp shovel to dig a big hole around it). I have that exact trenching tool. I got it about 25 years ago. It even came with the same crappy bag, ha. The bag is garbage and will be dead soon enough, but the tool is fine. Served me well. Try to keep the threads clear of dirt though. That hatchet....thing might be cool with a little work. That grind is bad, ha. Seriously, someone took an angle grinder too it. If the handle is as horribly uncomfortable as it looks, you should consider taking it off and making a new handle for it. You might loss the saw, but lets face it. That saw does not look like it would work well anyway. Then of course you need to make a sheath. A lot of work to get that thing to be a useful tool.

The trenching tool and the kershaw knive are the only ones I'd be interested in. Or, maybe even the small pry bar. Most of the stuff looks "Gimmicky"...especially the multitool hatchet. Advertised it can do so much, but in reality it's junk. Spend $25 to $150 for a box of stuff that maybe of which you'll use a few items (one or two)? I'd save my money and get something I could use. Not saying that Battlebox isn't a cool idea. It is...but I'm afraid I'd not like most of what I got.
