Bragging about going to the Spyderco facility in Colorado, throws a Chinese made Spyderco in the box..... The QC of the imports is far from the quality offered from Colorado.

Would you rather it had been a Byrd? Their QC is phenomenal. Thats the point, and just bc this isnt a $300 spyder doesnt make it not a good knife, but thanks for the comment

This is my first Spyderco so I was a bit excited. Was not happy to see it was made in China, and when I googled it I see it all over for under $50. So I’m a bit disappointed with this months “knife of the month” I really look forward to the knife of the month. I’ve come to expect a nice blade. Not a cheaper blade, and something thrown in just to make the value of the box go up. Kind of a miss this month...

I also was excited for a Spyderco to be let down with a big old “China” lasered in the blade. If only at least they wouldn’t make it so damn big and obvious so I wouldn’t be pissed every time I opened it.

OneWithTheWoods I have prescription Ray Bans, and Prescription Harley Davidsons, so I don’t need to pay to turn another pair of sunglasses into prescription sunglasses. Especially a pair of $20 something dollar ones.

Can we stop with sunglasses. Many people wear glasses and can’t use them, plus glasses are something people usually like to buy after they try them on and make sure they fit etc.

And meant to say the ULU knife the wooden handle you can rub it with olive oil until it quits soaking and it will treat it to not soak water and you can still cook with it unless your like my uncle that fries taters in motor oil 😂!

The best value in the Spyderco lineup now has to be the Bow River fixed blade. Nice leather sheath, too. It was $32.50 a few months ago but now it's $38. Still a great value.

Great box! I'm super allergic to poison ivy! On a different, kind of disappointing note, Ulu knife retail: $32 made in the good ole USA. Spyderco knife retails at $68, but Made in China! The customization aspect is cool and its a great deal for the price. Just the 3 words no one likes seeing on products, especially knives, kind of takes away from the pride of owning a Spyderco knife. Now granted the US ones run you way more, so it's understandable. But it's like buying a Chinese Kershaw. It's good for the money, but personally, I try to stick with the ones made here. Overall still like the knife. It'll go in the collection of course. Probably will get the glow in the dark insert and keep as a backup in my pack.

A lot on forum complaining but we all should understand all boxes can’t be 450.00$ MSRP like the last 2-3 they got at end of 2019 this will just be my second one. Keep hammering em out an take er easy! I’m lucky on the poison ivy or oak I have never been able to get it guess I’m not allergic to it but it will go in my first aid tho cuz know plenty that do!
