Can you tell me how you make your videos? They are fascinating. I really love the maps! Also,would you make a video about Simeon the Great. In his reign he wanted to conquer the Eastern Roman Empire and almost did it,but he died during big preparations for the conquest of Constantinople. Bulgaria in 30years came much closer to conquering the ERE,than ERE in 300years,they conquered us at the end with a lot of allies tough. Still he conquered all european ERE possessions and received the title of Tsar or emperor and a patriarchy. So we are like the most underrated country and it would be great to show to the ppl a history,they never heard of! Also you can make about the conquest of Bulgaria(970-1018)! Its great to be noted that we were weakened by bogomilism and our army shrink 2times (927-970) and because of that we also lost Transylvania to the Magyars in 942.

@@theonlygoodlookinghabsburg2081 We do not like Iran. The Arab factions launch many revolutions, such as what happened in Baghdad after death of Ismail Al-Safawi. We came from Mecca to fight the Persians and won great victories against them. Even if the Ottomans did not control Iraq, the Arabs would fight them.
@theonlygoodlookinghabsburg20814 жыл бұрын
@@yousfahmad1810 I disagree strongly, yes today you may not like Iran for obvious reasons. But when we talk about the past it's different: since the Parthian and Sassanid times Iran and Iraq have always been more or less united. The pre Islamic dynasties ruled from Iraq despite being Iranian. And Iraq and Iran were again united with the Arab rule and later Safavid rule; until the Ottomans seperated the two countries forever. The Arabs fought the Persians yes, but that was almost a thousand years before the Safavids, it's ridiculous to consider the Safavid or any Iranian dynasty the same as any other.. even if it preceeded it for a millenia.

@majorvincsenzo7314 жыл бұрын
@Free Spirited It's true that there was no violent muslim convertion or child tax in the conquered part of Hungary but let me start from the beginning. After the battle of Nicopolis, the ottomans constantly raided South Hungary and Transylvania, murdering, pillaging, taking countless slaves. Only a few charismatic hungarian leaders could fight them back effectively: f. e. John Hunyadi or Paul Kinizsi. Those battles in the 15th century were bloody massacres, with huge casualties on both sides. A few examples: battle of Vaskapu, Varna, Kosovo, Belgrade, Kenyérmező. Then came the battle of Mohács in 1526. I can't even tell how incredibly great loss that was. It basically ended the sovereign united kingdom Hungary for 394 years. While the population in Western-Europe countries increased with a few millions between 1500 and 1700, the hungarian population decreased by 100.000. In two hundred years, during the long, fruitless wars between Habsburgs and ottomans, hungarians were suffering of famine and violance all the time. Entire regions were depopulated. (And the turks had financial reasons to be tolerant, as christians had to pay extra tax.)
@majorvincsenzo7314 жыл бұрын
@Free Spirited We appreciate your interest and have no problem with you good folks today. But saying that hungarians were happy under the turkish rule is nowhere near the truth. First, Austrians didn't steal that land, they conquered it **back** . Second, the extra tax for the christians is a big deal, if you also count in the church tithe (which went directly to the sultan), the ninth, the gate tax, the war tax, and many new taxes that have been introduced over time. Oh and these taxes were collected by both the turks and the previous hungarian landlords. What wasn't a big deal, is ottoman religious tolerance. They weren't supportive, rather indifferent. If needed, the temples were torn down so they could strengthen the castle walls. In the the years 1526, 1529, 1532, and 1541, huge turkish armies marched through hungarian territory, and retreated with thousands of slaves. The lines depicting the paths of those armies are also the maps of deserted areas. These camlaigns were followed by disturbances in agricultural production, incorrectly cultivated lands, which resulted famine and empty granaries. Furthermore, the cessation of river regulations caused the spread of swamps and bogs, which caused the large-scale spread of deseases: black death, dysentery, typhus, malaria and the mixture of these sicknesses, the so-called "Morbus Hungaricus". What ottomans brought to Hungary was only economical, social, demographical, and religious damage, a few cool spas, and really long wars, nothing else. I'm sorry if this doesn't fit what you were taught in school but these are facts. This doesn't mean we have to hate each other, but one must acknowledge its own history, even if it's imperfect. I have spoken.
