Back then, China Imperial Army's top commander, Kao Sun Ji was from the ruined Kingdom Kokuryo that eliminated by the Tang Imperial Army's massive attack. And Kokuryo was a part of the Three Kingdoms of the Korea peninsula, so, his military achievements were underestimated by many Chines high-officials of the China dynasty. Most of them didn't like his done and his fame in the Tang empire, so he couldn't have become a true Chinese general at the time. They often told other Chinese officials that he is one of the East Barbarians' descendants, so Kao can't be the true honored China commander even though he made a great job in central Asia. However, many foreign military commanders have been serviced the army of the Tang empire to get more colony for the China empire when Kao Sun Ji fought for China's dynasty. But most modern Chinese people might not have known that fact since they haven't enough level of historical knowledge in the first place.
@darfri Жыл бұрын
Gao Xianzhi's ability at that time was so high, and his deployment of troops to attack Tash directly led to the loss of Tang Dynasty interests in this area. These countries have approached the Tang Dynasty, and his attacks have pushed allies towards the enemy's side
@jyd1384 Жыл бұрын
@@darfri Man, I don't understand what are you talking about. Back then, Kao just obeyed the order from the Chinese dynasty, so he did what he had to do as a top commander of the Chinese Imperial Army. That was not his fault; the order was from the Emperor of the Tang dynasty. He wasn't a King of a nation you know, just a military commander appointed by the Chinese dynasty. Thus, even though the Tang empire lost those areas in Central Asia, the Emperor didn't punish him because the traitor Turkish tribe joined out of the blue the side of the invader Islamic army from the Kingdom of the Middle East. He didn't commit any fault, so the Chinese Emperor knew the fact that he was innocent, so he was appointed a top governor of a local province in China after the combat at the time as compensation for his awesome military achievements. He tried his best to keep his faithfulness to the Emperor. You need more detailed educational courses to be a genuine historian.

'The most important battle you've never heard of'
@jadjordan51532 жыл бұрын
This battle changed the history of the world in two respects, the first is the conversion of the Turks to Islam and bringing them from Central Asia to the Middle East and determining Anatolia, which led to the emergence of the Ottoman Empire and then the Turkish state - the second is the paper that the Arabs brought with them and it was like the Arabs’ gift to the world that led to the emergence of the Industrial Revolution and from Then the modern world we live in today
@pointrainbow30915 ай бұрын
The only thing that has changed is that your Arab countries have acquired the art of papermaking.
@maxmaxm-c5u4 ай бұрын
@@pointrainbow3091 This is a battle that made Central Asia Muslims, so you have to admit that it is a historical battle that changed the world, and after it, China did not return to Central Asia after that.This means that China has already been defeated militarily.

Turks didn't become Muslim before 912 - 940. Slaves maybe as soldiers. Turks never accept a religion with force. Before Islam Turks were monoteist.

A brilliant documentary, I really enjoyed it, so thank you. But I'll have one recommendation. As a Turkish man, I found the pronunciation of "Uighurs" really annoying. Since Uighurs -Uygurlar in Turkish- were a Turkic people, it would be better if it had been said as it would be in Turkish. The first syllable is the problematic one. I could send you a sound file how to pronounce it in Modern Turkish, if you'd like to
@HistoryMarche4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip! Sure, you can send the file to me on Facebook, my profile link is on my KZbin channel main page.

Denizhan Acar I agree with you, it makes no sense to pronounce the word “ Uygurs,”or “Uigurs” as weegers” as the English speeding world do.
@reddhong66654 жыл бұрын
then the pronunciation of Turkey should be also changed... the Chinese pronunciation Tuerqi or Tuerchi is more similar to the real Turkish pronunciation.
