When Ogier hammered Rov by 3s in the last stage on Friday that must have knocked Rov's confidence. Rov came out too hot on Saturday. That cost him. People talk about Tanak being unlucky with the puncture but again it's cause and effect. His was pushing too hard. Ogier has the experience to know when to push and when to be cautious. He saved his tyres for Amarante2. To be able to give up time on 2 stages for later gain requires real courage. This is why Ogier is so good.

When you are "half a second a kilometer quicker than anyone" you don't get there by not pushing it and it's clear that Rovanperä was pushing it. You're on a knife's edge at that point, thinking and feeling become one and the same, it's an out of body experience. Of course you don't want to let up, you want to believe that you'll continue to pirouette on that edge, and you want to win. So i do believe that something as simple as broken shade can break the concentration needed to stay on track at pace.

There are production car classes like Rally3, you can always follow those! Also have you seen the GR Yaris? It rules. They still make homologation models

He retired at the end of 2021 and decided to do part time campaigns from 2022.

He said in past interviews he prefers to spend more time with his family as the championship isn't exciting to him any more.

​@@BanzaiYaris Seb is a top notch guy. If he really wanted to, he could come and fight for another championship, but he prefers spending time with his family instead of being gone for most of the year. Gotta respect that.
