Thanks so much for hanging in there. Glad you enjoyed. I've been dallying in other videos for far too long.

I was quite lucky that a few turns went my way and that a few guesses were right when I needed them to be. Thanks for checking it out.

Lol as someone who continually winds up being a Loyalist in Diplomacy (i know it's not the best way to play, but i genuinely enjoy the positioning of being a loyalist. especially when i play with people who know my playstyle, at which point it becomes a bit of a contest to see who i commit to since i'm a known Loyalist player in my circle), i loved this. there's something just so fun about sticking by your allies, imo. i hardly win, but the respect that comes with Loyalist play rules. plus, the initial turns of positioning and propositioning alliances? always thrilling imo. it's a lot of fun. loved this video :) subscribed!

Dramatic end-games with forced solos are always fun to study. Thanks for this video! I learned a few things. 😎

The main reason I didn't stab him was because I really enjoy that heads up play. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

I am actually currently in a loyalist GR game in the Nexus preliminaries right now! Our friendship started when I offered him Sweden no-strings-attached in Spring '01, which was a tip I picked up from Doug Moore in your 7 nations series! I can't say anything more without breaking tournament rules since the games are ongoing.

Brilliant. Selfless play can absolutely win you diplomatic advantages.

Yay! I did predict Austria would win :D I must admit that there was a moment I was scared for you but England finally acted as I thought he would

I was surprised that England didn't make a push for the Med sooner. That threw off my game a little.

Oh, how I envy those who can find loyal and honorable allies! Time after time, I make an alliance, fully intending to be honest, and time after time I am stabbed. Meanwhile, my enemies stubbornly hold on to their alliances, even when all indication is that they should stab. Oh well, maybe one day...

Cool tactical endgame aside, what and why was that German opening?

Looks like Germany was confident that they had established an EFG Western Triple (which never goes well for Germany). They may have held Ber in reserve in case England and France didn't do what they agreed to.

ooh my friend and I are currently working on making diplomatic online and automate everything :), would this be something you use? I also considering making it into a discord bot, so the whole game can be played form discord

This is very cool. I would absolutely be interested in something like that. Having a good AI that could substitute for a player who leaves the game would be really helpful.

I would've offered a 3-way draw back in 1910. I love draws because it means that I've kept my country from being conquered.
