I have the escaladeV and G63 and I’m thinking of adding a urus

I considered both. Ended up with the G63 even though they’re currently selling over MSRP here. Was turned off that the Urus shared its base platform and engine with the Cayenne, Bentayga and RSQ. It’s not special, just reskinned, rebadged and retuned. The G63 has 40 years of history and has much more road presence. The Urus is a new car with zero history, just a powerful engine and other performance bits slapped on it. It even gets outdone by the Cayenne GT. In the G63 I can see the dirty roofs of other SUVs like the XC90, it’s that tall. I love that Mercedes completely re-engineered the vehicle with the current generation but preserved the look faithfully. Also, the Urus has really odd dimensions in person, it’s the same length as a Range Rover but only a little taller than a Subaru.

Urus interior really needs work, especially in ambient lighting. The Urus is so similar to Audi Q8 that you can get them confused from a distance without noticing the subtle differences. G63 is getting a mid cycle refresh in 2022 and if it updates interior and adds 4d burmeister sound it will be the no brainer. Having said all that Urus is just way better than G63 ;)
