BATTLE OF THE TUBING MASCARAS | TARTE VS THRIVE

Here’s my take on these 2 mascaras, for what it’s worth!! 😂 I love love love Thrive mascara. My favorite all time. I bought the Tarte just to try it out. It’s the same price as the (Thrive). To me a true tubbing mascara only takes one coat, bc u can’t really build on the tubes. The Tarte to me you had to build up the coats. You can’t do the one coat and done with Tarte, if that’s important to you. I HATE that u have to get Thrive shipped to you, but it is the absolute best.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! That’s what I love about KZbin, connecting, hearing others views, getting informed. I am liking the thrive one more and more. It’s so easy to take off but I do wish you could get it at a local store!

I love Thrive and wish I didn’t have to order a certain amount for free shipping. I’m considering Tarte but have been disappointed with any mascara I’ve tried since trying Thrive. Do you feel the Tarte smudges by the end of the day?

Dee, agree completely with your review. Also agree with Mary’s comments below. I really like both of them but Thrive does edge out Tarte by an “eyelash”. I do feel like my Tarte lasts a bit longer than the Thrive. Maybe because of the drier formula….on another note, a Sephora employee talked me into trying Blinc. Claimed they were the originals in the tubing mascara market but it did not compare to Thrive and Tarte IMO. Using it up but will not buy again. Thanks for your review.

The reason u can’t build up Thrive is bc it is a true tubbing mascara. It’s why it seems like it a dryer formula, bc of the tubes. When u remove it it comes off in tubes. Tarte doesn’t have all the tubes when u remove it, (which in my eyes it’s not a true tubbing mascara) That’s why u can build it up!! Totally sucks u can’t buy it in the store. Alta has a tubbing one out, I’m anxious to give that one a try. I’m not buying the Tarte one again. There’s much better mascaras on the market, especially for that price

I agree with you that’s it’s not a true tuning mascara. I noticed that when I took them both off. Thrive comes off in tubes, tarte doesn’t. I didn’t mind the tarte one but I’m finding now that I’m leaning more on thrive. I love the way it builds up and it’s so freaking easy to take off. I may have to check out the ulta one that you mentioned.
