I think yes and no. She loves to grind games and she could definitely grind really hard to get good in MK but I think Choco doesn’t enjoy playing or is not interested in MK (or racing games for that matter). I think she participates in the New Year’s Cup because it’s an unique event and she enjoys joining the gals on it. But due to her lack of interest in the game itself, she puts almost zero effort to improve. OR maybe she just sucks at racing games. It happens.

She actually did way better this year. It is just that the level of play has improved so much. Last year, HoloX performed bad but this year, 3 of them are in Tsuyo Cup. We even got no EN and ID at the Tsuyo cup this year (last year we got Gura and Reine. Gura almost break the top 3)

Not really, holoID just didn't have enough practice. Especially Kobo who was very busy from December until recently. Heck, she even just finished building her new PC few days ago.

@@taura3997 A lot of them are busy in december. Towa for example. Like I said in another clip, Kobo just flat out dont know the basics. She's a complete beginner. You can practice all you want but if you dont know the basics nothing will happen. Someone has to teach her, like Reine for example. ID Gen 3 are very new to mario kart and it shows. DIfference between them is that Kaela at least knows some of the basics, she just doesnt have the experience or knowledge of the high level techniques and most of the shortcuts. Zeta just knew about them like she knows how to drift but doesnt really know how to use them properly. Some stuff like hopping or blocking she doesnt know, also she has poor handle. Kobo well she's really just a beginner in this.

Her 2nd and 3rd in the 2 races was entirely down to the frontrunners taking each other out, letting her pick up positions, and the former frontrunners having a huge brawl behind her as they continue to take each other out instead of catching up to her helped as well. You could tell she isn't competitive enough to get out of the zako cup.

The joke has been spread as fact by newcomers, hopefully it stops because choco tried her best.

In preparation she did 8 or 9 Mario kart stream just recently and still often end up dead last. You can imagine how much time the tsuyoi club spent behind the scene to reach this point.
