I think old collaboration skins should be able to come back and old original skins should stay exclusive. I love Storm and the OG Wolverine with his brown costume but there’s no guarantee I’m getting anything close to those in the future.

Honestly I been playing since 2017 and have almost everything from chapter 1. Most of the skins I have I just sit on and do nothing with. I know there are people who would kill for Drift. I am completely fine with Epic putting old bp skins in the shop for vbucks. I don’t know why I would feel insulted about it.

Since they have confirmed they won't bring back old battle passes for everyone, I think it's fair to give anyone who bought an old battle pass the chance to finish it if they haven't already. Also if someone is missing an edit style for a skin they own that's from an old battle pass, they should get the chance to purchase the style for vbucks or something like that (although this should probably exclude super styles since those should only be for people who grinded for them)

I own every battle pass skin except Sorana and The Herald (didn't get them because I quit the game in those respective seasons) and I wholeheartedly believe this is a great change, but I would wish they would've taken a step further and sell previous BP's in the shop. We are 7 years deep into the game's existence so doing it this late, when characters like Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy or Darth Vader for example cannot be bought again is weird to me. I hope in a few years older BP's can return. And I stand by this opinion because I think artificial scarcity and FOMO is one of the worst plagues in live service games.

fortnite has never said that battle pass skins werent able or allowed in the shop but simply that the battle pass would end at the end of a season. The old battle pass skins are still technically allowed in the shop but i guess they just wont release them? idk i think if you care about how rare a skin is you need a life and grass in that life. i understand with paradigm bc we got told she was exclusive but like with ghoul trooper and skull trooper i think ppl are just cry babies

I think they should just give og battle pass owners an option, either 950 v bucks, or a new style for for example calamity, like they’d bring them back and depending on which skins are in the shop, you’d be blue to either get 950 v bucks back, or a new style, og exclusive. I wish if you played a season but didn’t purchase the battle-pass or didn’t finish, you could have a chance to purchase the skins directly or purchase the battle-pass and claim whatever rewards your level finished from that season. 🙏🏽 If old skins were to come back to the item shop, I don’t think super styles should return as it really symbolizes the grind of playing.

Nowhere in the news blog does it say older battle passes wont. It just says all future battle passes will. But it does say exclusives which should include starter packs, crew, twitch drops... Some of which leaked in the new shop ui style like world cup warrior and paradigm had shop updates back in 2021 so i believe all this was planned years ago

People are all stuck on the exclusivity aspect of the change. I myself am way more concerned about the remafacations of getting v bucks in battle passes an the price of battle passes after this change takes place. Meaning 18 months into the future. Could this change also effect those 2 aspects? Yes i belive so. Wirh the cosmetics getting shop prices, that change could easily effect the price of battle passes as well. So, for example, lets say we have a bp skin in the shop that came out the season before for 800 v bucks. You really dont think that epics not gonna take that opportunity to say that since the bp skins in the shop have increaed prices for customers, were alao gonna increase the price of the battle pass to better REFLECT THE PRICE OF THE BATTLE PASSES GOING FORWARD. Cause i would be surprised if they didnt wanna make more money. An this is the perfect way to do that.
