I always love the different perspectives between Alex’s and Juno’s covers. Here Alex and Mor’s lyrics feel more like the actual Sada and Turo where the lyrics are reaching for their goal, while Juno’s leans more on the AI Sada and Turo where they realize the Time Machine needs to be shut down and are stuck between fighting and encouraging the protagonist.

Oh my gods this song is finally out! This song was a blast to work on and write and everyone brought it to life so beautifully! Ostara and Tom both brought Sada and Toro to life amazingly, words cannot express how much I love the way both of them brought the perfect level of seriousness and wonder to their roles. Juno like always did such amazing art for this that elevates the video just that much more. And of course between Stelyos and Maiden mixed and edited the song and video to be just amazing. I don't know how they do it, but their magic certainly brought it out for this video!

And now that I have this comment, let's do a bit of a dive into the lyrics! The opening line was a fun one to write, I really wanted the song to open setting the theme of this song, the erratic thoughts of the original professors before they perished, now being forced through their robot doppelgangers. At the time of writing this it was still unclear as to how the time machine worked, and since there was the prevalent dream theory, I did my best to sow in some seeds of that, "all my dreams can be reality" "a perfect world just like my dreams" and so on. One like that ended up on the cutting room floor was "how could you hold a Litwick to a champion ranked trainer" which was inspired by a comment on one of my other songs I wrote. It is subtle, but at parts of the video as the captions show there is a computer reading off lines on the background. That is intended to be the professors computer recounting some of their final thoughts. Most of those lines are taken from the various journals you can find throughout the area zero labs, giving a little insight into how the professors thought before they went off the deep end. Of course there are a lot more little details throughout the song, if you are interested in the thoughts behind any of them, let me know and I can give you some insight!

The clarity and pitch of her notes rises above the instrumental in a way that just strikes true and balances so well with my baritone ranting! To Professor Mor and Alex Beckham, the lyricists: You two brought to life through your lyrics such an incredibly nuanced interpretation of the Professors. The round with the Paradise Protocol in the middle of the song is utterly brilliant, too. No line has bookended a song that I've been in better than this one and it is the single favorite line that I have sung for the channel in my 7+ years here. To Juno, the artist: Your ability to interpret a song into a visual never ceases to amaze me, and this piece is simply exceptional. Every character, every expression of motion and emotion in this work hits the mark with the accuracy of one who is a master of their craft and of the subject matter. Juno seems to capture the tragedy of the ai professor's, and get us to sympathize with them, it shows that this was a fight that shouldn't have happened that nobody wanted. This more demonstrates the corruption of the ai professor's and how they have gone too far with their research at the cost of their lives and possibly everyone elses. I also like how even if what they are doing is pretty malicious they sound more hopeful like they truly believe this is best for everyone.

I see your point, but if I might raise this. This is from the point of view of the actual Professor Sada/Turo. Their unabashedly single-minded goal of connecting the past/future to the present, either unknowing or uncaring about the evidence of the past/future Pokémon are exceedingly more dangerous, more VIOLENT than every other known species of Pokémon. To the point of knowing that if they are exposed into Paldea, that the entire region would be destroyed. They knew how violent just Koraidon/Miraidon were, as it was the cause of their own death. But they still don't care. They still believe that there can be peace and harmony among them, and they are doing everything they can to bring it to reality. And died trying

I love whenever MOTI and Juno collaborate to release their own versions of a song. I find that while Juno tends to stick closer to the original songs energy and pacing, MOTi tends to take these energy filled tracks and transform them into more angelic. choir-esque renditions without changing the song one bit. They all sound perfectly in character, yet polar opposite in terms of energy. That's the paradoxical beauty between these channels!

Sada and Turo are probably the most interesting Pokémon villains. For one, they were never evil schemers. Instead, they were dangerously sociopathic. Willing to put everyone in Paldea in harm's way, and "justifying" it with social darwinism. Also, they made a death trap for anyone who tried to stop them. Not only were they willing to indirectly do harm, but they were also willing to murder. (You know, the "locking all Poke balls." Basically using the more aggressive Raidon as a murder weapon. Coupled with the fact that they died before the events of the game, but their sociopathy still poses a threat, with the AI Prof. in battle mode basically being their cold, ruthless side brought fully to light.

God, this is gorgeous and HEARTWRENCHING. Listening to the professors sing about their ideas and dreams so earnestly while knowing they’re totally out to lunch and need to be stopped before they cause an irreversible disaster is genuinely kind of painful, especially since they literally can’t be reasoned with anymore. If only it hadn’t come down to this, right? (The focus on dreams is interesting: I assume that’s a nod to the theory that the past/future Pokemon aren’t actually from the past/future and were instead unknowingly created from the professors’ ideas of past/future Pokémon?)

What did I do to get three amazing performances of my favorite theme from Scarlet and Violet, and quite possibly, the whole franchise? This final story has so many emotions in it, that I personally call it "Ghost in the Machine". Arven spent most of his life alone, due to his parents spending most of their time in Area Zero only to get killed by the aggressive Koraidon and Miraidon with their AI replicas in their places programmed against their will to defend their mad dream to introduce Pokémon from the ancient past and distant future into the modern age, which would destroy the present ecosystem. Arven had suffered the most in the end, because he had no parental figure to support him, because they were already dead. I understand Arven's pain and empathize with him because family is a terrible thing to lose.

The way this sounds, it's like the real Sada and Turo are directly speaking through the AI Professors (and not in the Paradise Protection Protocol sense, more like there are ghosts in these machines). They sound confident in achieving their goals and giving their reasons for why they're doing them (as most mad scientists, achieving harmony). Contrasting that is Juno's which, like with Penny, depicts the situation as we see in the games where the AI Professor is very much their own independent and very reluctant entity. It very much does not want to follow through with the human Professor's plan, but can do little more than encourage the protagonists to defeat it and stop the potential paradoxical ecological crisis.

One interesting thing I've noticed between Juno and MOTI's versions is the different portrayal of the original professors' motivations. In the MOTI version, they seem both more idealistic but also shortsighted, with lyrics like 'All Pokemon/No matter where they are found/in history/They can live in harmony' implying that they are genuinely hoping that the past and future Pokemon can coexist with the Pokemon of the present, and they've not done, or more likely, refused to listen to, the research that indicates that the outsider Pokemon will push Paldea's native species to extinction. Conversely, Juno's versions have them be more informed, but also colder. In both Juno versions of the song, the original professors seem to be completely aware of the fact that their actions will cause an ecological disaster, but view it as a necessary sacrifice in pursuit of their ideal paradise, derisively referring to the Pokemon of the present as 'lesser species' and 'the ones who aren't selected' (Sada)/'irrelevant, inferior ones' (Turo).

i really like that both versions can portray the Professors in different ways Junos version felt like the AI's had personalities of their own and were trying to break the chains of their code MOTIs version felt like the AI's were embodiments of the professors wills, and willing to do anything to achieve it also unrelated but what I would do to get that art with both professors and their mons as a poster

Simply incredible. With the lyrics it shows just how far these corrupted versions of AI Turo and Sada have given into a deadly combination of arrogance and ambition in pursuit of their dreams to create that perfect world even if means bringing nothing, but complete devastation to Paldea along with the deaths of every person and Pokemon in the region. That art is phenomenal along with at certain points how the lyrics switch between Sada and Turo. Excellent work all around!

My headcanon is that Koraidon and Miraidon are the children of Dialga and Palkia, and the Paradox mons are normal Pokemon that have mutated thanks to their auras. Sada and Turo, former scientists of Team Galactic, desired to gain control of Koraidon and Miraidon, in the hopes that they could control space and time itself. However, they underestimated the powers that they were messing with, and an accident killed the real professors and tore the space-time continuum in two, resulting in the separation of Koraidon and Miraidon, as well as the alternate timelines of Scarlet and Violet. Legends say that when Koraidon and Miraidon are reunited, their combined powers will excel those of their parents.

The closed captions have a glitchy effect, and when one is singing and the other stops, said one fades away. That's some attention to detail. Also, when Sada says "I'm afraid the possibility of you winning is Zero" the word for Zero in the captions is using different characters, and I don't even know what the Z is supposed to be. And the text from when Turo, Sada, and the "Present and Future" (in the second half) types itself out. I didn't even know that was possible until today. And I found it by accidentally leaving them on. Edit: They don't work well in Spanish, unfortunately.

Theres so much to comment on but I for one want to commend the editors. The seamless transitions between scarlet and violet visually, and between Sada and Turo audiolly (not sure if thats a word) is so perfectly seamless. Theres nothing abrupt or jarring. Especially in the transformation moment, without any camera cuts to use to sync it up; the camera and the light changes between Koraidon and Miraidon is so damn smooth????? All the respect and kudos to the editors who pulled that off it cannot have been easy to make it so seamless.
