I feel the need to say this; The Fokker DR.1, the Sopwith Camel(which I saw in that trailer), the Sopwith pup, the Nieuport 17, and most other ww1 aircraft used a type of engine called a rotary. This engine spun with the prop for the sake of air cooling.This however, caused a lot of issues. Naturally, having a massive spinning disc in the aircraft caused all of your control movements to be 90 degrees off when using the stick. Pushing down would make you roll left, pulling left would make you nose up, pulling up would also make you nose up, and pushing left would make you nose down. The rudder pedals did as they usually do, so nothing new to learn there. The engines didn't have a throttle, and were controlled with mixture. Because of this, the engines couldn't idle. The lowest setting was half power. They also didn't have any brakes, and where stopped with a tail skid. I hope dice models everything except the control part.

The reason side mounted scoped were popular was not to reduce the weapons profile, but was due to the characteristics of the bolt itself. Many of the bolt action rifles had very simple straight bolts to make it easier to re chamber a round. However if you mounted a scope directly over the bolt you would not be able to chamber/reload as the straight bolt handle would hit the scope, therefor many scoped had to be side mounted or rifles replaced with bent bolts ie Mosin Nagant

Cap, that scope isn't mounted on the side for profile purposes. They have to off set them because the chamber where the spent casing comes out is in the way and the empty would hit the scope as well as the bolt handle when cycling a round.

I have an idea. Since they said vehicles like airplanes will have dedicated classes, imagine having servers that supported a full 64 man on the ground below and above in the sky had an air superiority match with 12 planes. The carnage would be insane. Players on the ground could fight and destroy planes and the planes could attack troops, but the twist is that the ground soldiers and pilots have separate objectives.

The D-Day-style map must be the Battle of Gallipoli, basically a 1915 british and french amhpibious invasion of the Ottoman empire with the aim of opening a corridor to the black sea, thus creating a way of supplying the russian empire and help them fight Germany and Austria-Hungary, the plan was developed by WInston Churchill (THE Churchill, serving as First Lord of the Admiralty at the time) and proved to be a huge disaster. Also a twin-engine bomber is seen crashing at the 00:43 mark in the trailer, it's the German Gotha G.V (in service from 1917 and onwards), you can identify it due to the unique landing gear compromised of two twin-wheel tricycle style wheels under each engine block, each of which are made up of two engines with one forward pulling propeller and one backwards pushing propeller.

LevelCapGaming - The armor referenced in your video @ the 5min mark is called Trench Armor. There were many crude forms of this depending on what country was wearing it. Most soldiers wearing trench armor controlled heavy machine guns for cover. Hope that helps!

First I am super excited for this game and the return of an actual story mode. Second based on the info I think we can expect two new modes, an armored train mode and an amphibious assault mode. train mode would be like walker assault except teams can hopefully fight on the train for control with some old west dive of the house onto the train. Amphibious assault would got off the Gahlipi landings in Turkey which were a nightmare
