This video is a game changer. I have recently got into battlefield 1 and really wanted to fly planes but I couldn't get used to the controls. As soon as space bar was on the pitch I can fly so much smoother and with control. Now to test in a match! Great video.

Hi Mattie, thanks for the TIPS, just got above 2000 kills with Fighter planes :) One tip from me, set MESH QUALITY to Ultra, it is the draw distance. You will see targets from farer.....useful for pilots, to see ground targets.

Yeah I got the 'Pitch Up' binded to the "E" key since I'm used to that key but I gotta change it to 'Space Bar' and get used to it that way. Also, might add is I changed my "Eject" button to "T" to avoid accidental ejections.

Hey guys, make sure that you go to Gameplay-Advanced- and set "Plane Chase Camera Roll" to NO. I followed this tutorial but couldn't figure out why my plane wasn't flying like his. After about 2 hours I finally found that setting haha

So I have not been a Bf pilot yet, but I prefer pitch up with S and down with W, roll with A and D, yawing with Q and E....Use mouse movement with flipped up and down in addition, especially when shooting and tracking...(you have to switch W and S then, because this gets also fippped)... last I have throtttle up on SHIFT and down on CRTL.... I think it is like this in other games, like GTA or Arma3 and imo this feels waaay better and is more intuitive and just makes sense to use W A S D for main movement.... Give this a try, trust me, although I have no experience

Fighter Planes are most manuverable, your best best is the fighter plane with the speed boost so you can get away from aa and it's excellent for plane hunting

thanks for the guide :-) i didn't know there were so many different planes to fly.. same with the vehicles in the ground, the fact that you can change to flame bomb or gas bomb etc. one thing though.. the ''pitch down'' where i keybinded to space automatically got me killed the first time i flew :D

Agree with this guy - i saw u in battles not one time - as pilot u're devil matteos and only way to interfere with you is aa and clever guy on it like me. But if - Just if you make a video how to shake of such annoyin person as you are from tail it will be many more pilots tryin to do that instead of simply take aa to shake u off. Yeah no problem. Make sure you widen your field of view and get used to a higher plane turn sensitivity and you'll start doing better. Dogfighting for me has been the slowest developing part of the plane, but ground strafing you'll pick up real quick. Next few hours even.

I tried looking through your channel videos to see if you've played War Thunder and couldn't find any. The reason I bring this up is because I want to use War Thunder like controls (War Thunder has "mouse aim" as well as a joystick mouse simulator that is very difficult to fly with). "Mouse aim" in War Thunder by default lets you scroll down/up to pitch down/up (or inverting that) and scroll left to right to turn with rudder. I also use keyboard controls alongside that with A and D being roll and W and S being pitch up/down and Q and E being left/right rudder. This gives a lot of control and very fine precision with the plane, but... how the hell do I get this type of control input in Battlefield V?

So i tried the pitch up and pitch down thingy and i had two problems: 1. The up turn from the keyboard was way lower compared to the mouse. --> Solution the up turn sensitvity is bound to stick sensitivity (dont ask me why), so turn that to 100% (or how you like it). Its in the first part of controls. 2. When not inverted the pitch down goes down (as the name says^^). Make sure to invert the plane or bind pitch up to spacebar. That is because the invertation also inverts the keyboard bindings. (Matti u said it in the vid but i tried copying and i dont like to fly with inverted plane controls so i was a little confused ) All in all i realy like the planes in Bf 1, its feels way more raw without the log-on rockets and all that high tech stuff. Also the planes have way more influence on the ground. I hope i could help someone and sry for my broke english.
