The fact that it’s the last 2 soldiers in the battle and they realize that even if they shoot the other man, it can’t change how much of their friends died in battle. The concept of violence creates more violence hits then and they lower their weapons, both giving into defeat, realizing that there are no winners in a battle, only death.

Yep same. Played it with my friend when the game launched and we were kinda casually jumping into it as it was the prologue you played before starting the game and I just dropped totally out of myself towards the end of the mission as it was so damn immersive. One of the best prologues DICE have ever created. The soldiers in shell shock during the mission, wandering around, shelling scene, dialogue between the deaths it all built up for that beautiful cutscene so well.

This entire video hits hard and games like this bring emotions to the players which is the best thing about a games. Not the graphics or the frame rate. But the STORIES that these men have told and risked their lives for is what makes games like this have emotion and bring it to the players

Very symbolic of the WWI Christmas Truce. Horrible it was to see how both sides were forced to kill each other, finally they celebrate together for one night and show they are human don't have hate for each other... only for the next day for both sides' commands to be so bothered by it that they forced them to shell each other so much as punishment for showing basic human decency and empathy for the other side. "War does not determine who is right - only who is left"

I fucking hate commanders, always wanting glory and to win over their opponents. Rather than considering the lives and losses of their men and others, that’s why ww1 and ww2 should never be forgotten. This is an awesome emotional scary and heartbreaking scene and FPS - stories this is by far the best Battlefield of all the heroes are only humans who fight, live, and die and gave their best self to this damn war the Great War that started to end all wars but it did end nothing I love the visuals weapons, sounds outstanding music and theme and era and I play the game the stories even today having the game a couple of years now will always be my favorite Battlefield and when I would want to live it again and revisit the heroes and stories for the Entente/Allies I would play it and never get bored!! Yeah "The War is the World and the World is the War" is so true so true...!!
