It was definitely this videogame that made me see through the, ""russia is evil""russia is the bad guy""russia is mean"" propaganda of the Modern Western times. This videogame showed me that there are heroes in every corner of the world- even in the places that you're supposed to expect villains. And no matter how much smack-talk their people take, that there was a man named Vlad, that I ran through the streets of France with, preventing a nuclear blast in vain. He made me remember. "You can only die once. Make sure it is worth it." Only cowards commit acts of terrorism. Real heroes die keeping the peace. It's crazy that a fictional Russian character impaled by a pipe taught me that better than all else. 13 years gone. 13 years, still not forgotten.
