Be careful! I heard that some people are using a vulnerability in the server banners to execute malicious code onto your PC the second you join the game

I played hundreds of games if not thousands, since Feb. and never once had a problem. I only play on top 5 populated servers.

would you need a remaster though? i think it was perfect as it was. but as far as i remember EA killed off the multiplayer servers? isnt that right?

They won't do it, it would steal players from 2042 and the future battlefield they plan to release. I'm 100% sure that EA doesn't want us to keep playing these games (bfbc2, bf3, bf4, bf1)

Hands down my favorite battlefield game. I was hoping that EA taking down the servers was just a marketing ploy to resurrect it as a "remake" and then open up new servers and cash in.

The best entry of the entire franchise. Part of me is baffled at the utter incompetence of EA's higher ups for not having nuDICE remake this, but the other part is glad because we all know they would just ruin it.

I remember this was a demo on xbox 360. This game is so legendary. For me it was the first realistic FPS I had seen on console.

Such a soft spot for this game, nothing kind of captures the feeling this game had. The incredible audio design, the great gunplay, and just how everything was able to be destroyed. I might pick this up since I got into PC gaming last year and pick this up once more.

I love that theres no icon overload all over the screen. This game’s simplicity feels better paced and less twitchy. I would love for this and 1943 to get re-released.

How are you able to play 1942, Vietnam, 2 and 2142 today? 4 years ago I unknowingly illegally downloaded 1942, Virtnam, 2 and MOH allied assault. Allied assault is available on the EA app but none of the pre-bad company BFs. Unless they put them back on the EA app or even steam, (which seems unlikely since EA seems to wanna pretend they never existed) theres no legal safe way to play them again beyond tracking down a physical copy and being lucky enough to have a compatible PC with a disc tray.

I found a bad company 2 ps3 disc in my uncles house. I’m wondering if there’s any way to play online by any means with my old ps3? Like somehow connect it to pc? Strange question but I’d really like to try this game out.

This was the end of battlefield, it all went to shit with frostbite and nerfes helos and planes, I can't even log more than 20 hours on 2042 trait garbage

TBH graphics from BC2 or BF3 look better than from BF2042, I run all maxed out on 2042, but it just don't look that smooth

The game wasn't "left to rot" it was intentionally killed. Say what you want about Activision but they at least give players the option to buy or play their old games regardless of the state the servers or lobbies are in. I would much rather be able to still buy a game to play some aspect of it or host servers and play with others. The fact that people have asked for a BC3 for years and now a large chunk of future generations or those who never got to play it will miss out on it's story is sad. Not being able to leave up a game so others can play at the very least the story mode is pathetic when the competition has games from the early 2000's still for sale.
