Maybe not so much, he forgoes the cover because it's already exploded, cover that is not going to blow up again or fall on his head no matter how much it gets shot or ran over. I love it when people try taking cover behind an intact car or inside a building that can collapse, just bump it with my tank or hit it with some explosives (or an AT rifle) and they die when the cover explodes/crumbles. Unexploded cover is preferable to no cover, but much worse than exploded cover.

Bf5 was an absolute failure at launch and continues to be a financial failure. Bf1 had a rough start, ironed out some of its kinks but still has issues. 2042 is absolutely atrocious despite being out for several months and is still missing simple fundamental core aspects of what makes battlefield games battlefield games. There's very little hope for the future because for half a decade it's been nothing but disaster after disaster.

@Andrew Zanardi Pretty sure both games got the old "there's not enough maps" complaint and some maps had severe issues. I remember the desert Rush map from Bad Company 1 had a problem where the first objective was impossible to take because the defenders spawned too close to the MCOMs so they could just throw bodies at the objective. Coupled with the destructible walls, the MCOMs would rapidly end up completely exposed, making attacking them near impossible and holding the MCOMs impossible. You either blitzkrieged the objective in the opening minutes or got stuck at the first objective. Bad Company 2 had big problems with Rush as well as many MCOMs didn't actually need a bomb planted on them as you could just shell the building it was in until it collapsed, instantly destroying it with no practical way for the defenders to stop the attackers doing it.

You don't need to buy the game to fall for it. Being on the hype train and building up our hopes for a good modern battlefield title after the initial trailers, that's how I've fallen for it. But the Beta should've been a clear imdicator that this game will never live up to expectations, so obviously I haven't bought it. Everyone who kept their pre-orders after the beta is either too lazy to refund or borderline naive

I really wanted to like that game. But the game was balanced horribly and it had in-game advertisements all over the place. That was the last EA game I ever bought.

@@MrMagnaniman The balance was okay, but yeah EA has always been an evil company, they just own some decent properties. I can't actually remember the in-game ads, but that is pretty annoying. Still was such a fun game with the Titans and all the verticality to the gameplay, as well as great maps and gadgets.

@@Harrier_DuBois For instance, self damage was the same as friendly fire damage. So, if you didn't play on a friendly fire server, there would be RDX jumpers murdering everyone as they spawned. And that NEVER got fixed. Also, the titans lagged servers so they disabled titan movement. Never fixed. The shield consoles could be destroyed by shooting them through walls, bypassing defenders. Never fixed. Explosives killed everyone in one hit, but guns took a full mag. Granted, that's how a lot of games are, but it's very poor balance nonetheless. The hovertank was a zillion times better than the tracked tank. it could rotate its whole body faster than the turret on the tracked tank could turn. Never fixed. They left out obvious game content, like hoverjeeps, so that they could sell it as DLC. And on and on. I'll admit that I played the hell out of that game, but I saw the writing on the wall and quit buying EA crap. They own some good devs and great IP, but they have made it abundantly clear that they HATE gamers and have no respect for us.

then yu should give a try to planetside 2 , its a bflike with 3 factions ( actualy 3,5 ^^ ) and large scale battle, its F2P (but not P2W, just skin ) so developpement is a bit long but they still update it after many years. But be aware, due to the scale of fight and the fact there is many old veterans , the game is hard to start.

Noob has legit progressed throughout the series. In the 2042 series he's actually somewhat competent, he just still has no real situational awareness. I don't think the old Noob would even consider using cover, let alone actually make his way to an objective that needs capturing.

There is a difference in being broken and having terrible design. You can't fix that. Dice have already abandoned 2042 as they announced a new BF for next year (which will also suck cause that like zero dev time)

@@709mash All they need to do is port over previous gen maps and player sizes (64 players only), and then it'll start to work. Might seem like a rip off for next gen who were promised 128 players, but that's the price you pay if you want to improve the game. As for the next Battlefield, they happen every 2 years, the old exception being BFV which was meant to be 5 and ended up as 3.
